I've been making Procreate templates for fixed-format strips, so I improvised a comic to try one out. I remembered after I made it that Procreate records your drawing by default, so here's the video. The finished comic is below. It is, sadly, near-gibberish.

I wouldn't say it's "near-gibberish". I mean, I don't quite know what's going on, but this is obviously intended as just one strip in a story, not a self-contained one-shot. But it does more or less make sense.

Also, it’s really fun to see your drawing process!

William Cole

Agree, but interestingly, in the process video, he starts out looking sort of like Len Pickering. The beard got added at the very end of the pencils stage.

Jacob

Okay, okay I’m going to ask the dreaded questions: what pencil and ink brushes did you use? I’ve got to know! :)

Jack

The change to "freaken" is almost disappointing. hashtagletlottieswear

I did it to annoy pottymouths everywhere, I had realised it was recording by that point and chuckled at my completely unnecessary self-censorship.

WJC

V nice.

John Jenkins

I love the newspaperness of this. How did you get that tone effect?

scarygoround

It was a tone brush I had for Procreate - I think my friend Dan Berry made it.

John Jenkins

It's so lovely. It makes me want to have a go at something similar on my comic. I just hope it counts as inspiration and not stealing.

scarygoround

You certainly wouldn't be stealing, halftone is an important part of the comics toolbox.

Nick Wyche

Does Dan make his brushes available commercially?

scarygoround

I don't actually know - he's @thingsbydan on Twitter and Instagram, drop him a line and ask. He's a friendly guy.
