I'll start running the 12 Bobbins strips I made recently here next week, but in the meantime, rest assured that I am back in business and 1/3 of the way through drawing Solver 8 ("The Urn"). It will run here on October 24th as a PDF and on the website up to a couple of weeks before Christmas (where I always take a week off), so my next jobs are to decide what to run in those two weeks (I don't like to split stories), and what will kick off 2023. It might be more Solver, or I may work on a prospective Steeple volume 4, as there are now a few ideas knocking around for that. All kind of depends on if Dark Horse want more.

You're welcome to propose something that might run in the two week gap. I'm a bit out of practice on short stories, I have a tendency towards sprawl, but maybe that will be a time for concision. It will not be a time for Desmond Fishman unless I am forced to rely on the "story of last resort".

Here's a little preview of Solver 8. I think I am drawing well despite the lay off. Charlotte is, I assure you, at her imping best.

My proposal is that you draw two weeks of my webcomic Merry Hell. There. I have made my absurd suggestion and I can return to my corner.

Stuart Gipp

Looking forward to all of this, incidentally. I've really enjoyed everything you've put out on here.

The problem is, Stuart, if I draw your webcomic, I then have to draw everybody else's for two weeks. Fair's fair after all.

Steve Jeffery

Hoping the Tackleford Imp doesn't get turned to stone by a humourless angel like her Lincoln counterpart.

Stuart Gipp

Okay, at least come to Cambridge again for something, so I can say hullo, because I was too frit last time.

Claire

give me something FASHION

scarygoround

Never be worried about coming to see me if I do an appearance in a shop. I'm genial and tbh grateful if anyone shows up.

James D

"Characters answering fan questions" is a thing I've seen.

Chris Ruggia

I request a Mordawwa sitcom pilot.

Brian Perler

Maybe just some one-off "Where are they now?" strips for some of the characters that aren't likely to show up in Solver any time soon? Like Colm, or Darren, or Knott, or Wolfboy. (Okay, probably not Wolfboy.)

Pierpaolo Di Camillo

I would love to see another Magus Tom's weird adventure. Or, as someone already suggested, something with Erin Winter (and Eustace) would be great.

Jonathan

Gosh, so much back catalog to draw from! Who haven't we seen in a while? Shauna, Sarah, Nina...oh, Riley!!! Was there ever more intended for her evil-genius future machinations? What happened after Shelley took her case?

Sean Kinlin

Maybe the 2 weeks could be filled by a short Robert Cop story. You could just reprint one of the backup stories from the back of the old monthly book.

Queen lottie

yes thirded, more mordawwa please

Nathan Campbell

"story of last resort" is only scheduled to upload upon confirmation of nuclear exchange

William Cole

My request: the tragic ends of the Wendlefield Mystery Kids.

Alex

Back in the Saddle Again!

Dang! I'd forgotten those! Here Comes Gothy #4 sounds like a banger!
