There are two things I learned from watching Xena. 1. Xena physics. Gravity defying movements 2. Time is an illusion. Everything happened 10 years ago.

This is such a strange scene. The boy appears to be under the impression that Gabrielle is going to sleep with him because he goes to kiss her after she tells him that he was almost her first and he replies with “And you’re almost mine.” However, Gabrielle is getting ready to leave with Xena at that very moment. So what on Earth made the boy think she even had the time to sleep with him, let alone even wanted to? Dude, she’s leaving your ass. And then the way the scene immediately follows on with Gabrielle asking Xena whether she’s ready to go… And she says “will be once you answer one question.” And the way it’s framed as her eyes dart over to the boy makes you think that the question she’s going to ask is “why did he think you were going to sleep with him?” Because really… why did the boy think that?
