I LOVE that she made you rewind to watch it again! Lucy is so great. A lot of actors who are wonderful in drama cannot pull off comedy, especially not this kind of absurd comedy. But Lucy is fantastic at all of it.

... oh, btw, if you get bored, you should (if you haven't) check out Rizzoli and Isles... great show... Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander started in it... im watching it (again, 8th time) while waiting on calls next episodes... :)

Xena and Gabrielle really love to Roleplay and Cosplay. It’s one of their dynamic characteristics that make them such a great duo. You’ll absolutely love all the campy shenanigans you get from this aspect of the show. It’s a really good time. Very 90’s. This is why Xena is such a great show in my honest opinion. It can effectively do drama and comedy and do both really really really well. Just because you’ve got a TV show about a dark broody and moody ex-evil person with the saddest and most shameful past on a mission of redemption does not mean you can’t make it fun. No one likes watching doom and gloom all of the time and Lucy especially would have hated it if that’s all there was to Xena. Lucy gave Xena goof and they rolled with it just the same as they rolled with the lesbian subtext. Because these creators/cast/crew were out here to have fun just as much as they were to work. And you’ll see and feel all of that in them in just watching this show. It really comes across in their performances how much fun they had and how happy they were working together. I really really miss this about TV shows and TV art/entertainment in general.
