I really liked how they made Wednesday's colour allergy into a real thing. In S1 it comes over as a snarky joke but looking back, she is being deathly serious and it makes her character traits so much more believable. Of course she's going to avoid physical contact with people. Of course when her colourfully dressed roommate comes up to huh her she's going to recoil from it. One of the few times in S1 she allowed Enid to touch her before the finale was after winning the Poe Cup and Enid is dressed all in black. The hug at the end of S1 was already an emotional moment but she's overcoming her fear of the very real possibility of a flare up and after he instinctive pushback at first goes for it, to Hell with the side effects later. 💕

See that’s one of the things I realized after we recorded this. I totally forgot about that hug in season 1 and tbh it just makes it all so much more believeable that they are in love. I’m annoyed the writers won’t go there. -Hunter

I suspect it's more pressure from the high ups at Netflix dictating they not go there because their algorithm has calculated how many subscribers they would lose/gain and how much backlash it'd get from Agent Orange's fanclub.
