Oh man. A blast from the past! This was one of my favourite childhood movies too. A lot of my favourite childhood movies involved animals and nature so it gave me an appreciation for all of that as I grew older. As for a sequel to this movie. I mean nothing is better than the first movie. Believe it or not, there are 14 movies. But I distinctly remember one of them has something to do with a dinosaur egg and protecting it. I can’t remember the name of it. But the gang learn how to care for something even more defenceless than themselves so it’s a pretty impactful message. Maybe watch that one at some point.

This was one of the many movies which gave me a massive case of the sads as a kid. Dinosaurs were always one of my favourite things so of course I loved the movie but killing his mum at the start is so brutal. The other one from around that time which is also dark and sad AF is An American Tail. That one would be great to see a reaction to. Maybe the live action on The Neverending story for *that* scene too. I think all this killing characters in kids films really began with Bambi but for me the most brutal one is Transformers the Movie which kills off 14 recurring characters from the show in the first half hour, including several fan favourites and the lead character and main villain. Oh and the very first scene of the movie is the genocide of an entire planet. 💀

This year is the 40th anniversary of Transformers the movie and Hasbro are marking it with what they are calling "the apology tour" 💀

I've not seen it, but "Mosley" is a similar animated movie that (our favorite) Lucy Lawless voices a character.

You guys should watch Homeward Bound! That was a good one from childhood.
