(Patreon ate my comment, so I'll try again!) This is a great move, Alice. To show us a precious moment in their past. It makes Tara and this scene more emotional and complex. She's not just a 2D hurdle to their goals. Also, shows us how N is not an arse and will talk to a person in this situation, even if he was dragged there against his will.

I hope Charlie stays at the party! I'm worried since he dislikes parties and N was the only/main friend he had there. Charlie didn’t come to socialise with anyone else!

Yes!! Exactly :D It's such a trope to have the 'love rival' character as this 2D, mean, enemy that Charlie would have to 'defeat'... But what I really wanted to show here was that Nick DID used to like Tara, but he's moved on and doesn't feel that way anymore, and that's okay, because that's how life works sometimes! And Tara's just a really cool gal and doesn't need to be a romantic interest anyway :) (as we shall soon see, she has her own romance going on haha!)
