'Full Comic Tier' Rules and Guidelines! (Patreon)
Content
Hey all! I'm very excited to start posting pages today, but before then, I just wanted to go over a few rules and guidelines with you. Most of these will be very obvious!
1. Do not share pages outside of Patreon. This is stealing and it's illegal! This includes posting on other sites and apps, sharing as downloadable files, unofficial translating, and more. Anyone found doing this will be reported, banned from this Patreon, and could get into legal trouble with my publisher.
2. Try to avoid 'vague posting' about the content of Patreon pages outside of Patreon. For example: posting your reaction to pages on other social media sites/apps, even if you're not describing exactly what happens. Best case scenario is that doing this just annoys your followers who don't have Patreon, but worst case scenario, people can start to figure out what's happening in the Patreon pages based on your posts. Obviously I can't stop anyone doing this and I'm not going to enforce this as a hard rule - it's not my responsibility to monitor what people talk about online - so this is more of a guideline/encouragement!
If you want to talk about Patreon pages without my presence, there is the Heartstopper Discord Full Comic Tier channel, where people love to share their reactions and thoughts about the pages (you will need to link your Discord and Patreon accounts to gain access), and there's also now the Full Comic Tier Patreon community chat, which will have the same function! These are super fun spaces where you can chat in depth and detail about the pages in a totally spoilery way 🎉 If you have friends/acquaintances in the fandom who are also Patreon members, you could also consider starting a group chat with them, to chat with your friends each day about the pages!
3. Comment whatever you like... but keep it kind and appropriate! I'm happy to hear constructive feedback, but please try and be kind! I'm very accustomed to hearing heavy and sometimes mean-spirited criticism (I've been an author for 10 years!) but Patreon is a place I get a lot of motivation from and your comments make me feel really inspired and excited to keep working. For example, it's really helpful to hear when a specific panel or a line of dialogue doesn't make sense to you, but hearing people hate on entire story arcs can feel really upsetting to read in a space that I draw a lot of encouragement from. There are spaces outside of Patreon where you can have those discussions!
Please also try to avoid starting arguments or attacking other users in the comments - Patreon just isn't the place for that. And lastly, keep comments appropriate - any form of hate speech and overly sexualising/fetishising the characters are not welcome here. I monitor all of the comments and I will remove anything inappropriate, and I may ban users who do this.
Thank you everyone, and see you in a bit for Page 1579!
