Such a sweet, slightly stressful morning in the Nelson house! It’s so good to see Sarah, supportive and a bit amused (provided they aren’t too late!), again. I so love the parallels between panels 3 and 4 as Nick expresses so much without saying a word! In panel 3, we have Nick nonchalantly munching on his toast while clearly enjoying the deep blush on Charlie’s face as he tries to play off why they are running behind (ha ha, he says☺️)…and then, in panel 4, Nick is seemingly focused on driving, yet we see how in tune he is to Charlie’s rising nerves and anxiety, and how he knows his calming shoulder rub will reassure Charlie. What a chaotic, tender, normal, nervous, sweet way to start the day❤️
