Reading this series made me realize just how much emotion eyebrows convey

I can’t speak specifically to HS rugby as different tolerances may apply but a lone high tackle—unless intentional—is a simple & common foul and of itself wouldn’t earn a yellow card. An *intentional* high tackle is a different matter. The judgement of the ref is absolute. A chewing out by the coach is SOP. Is the scene as written unbelievable? Not at all. I’m focusing on it because I’ve watched pro rugby for years and therefore have that familiarity—but NO experience with HS or college rugby. Having players out for ten wouldn’t normally change the course of a game, especially when it’s mutual. That said, the story isn’t about rugby it’s about rugby players… if my observations help tidy (or confirm) some corners, well, job done!
