As much as I need to see Nick's resolution, I have a strong feeling that whatever is going to happen in the coffee shop (theoretically involving Darcy as they've been in the coffee shop scenes so far), will, in a way, "close" the Charlie relapse. Then we can finish Chapter 8 on Nick & Charlie's resolution. His anorexia is triggered by his OCD (which I think is actually OCPD, but I'm not the author or a therapist). As head boy, he's trying to make change. When he's denied an idea, or a kid is bullied, he's taking that as a personal failing. When Darcy is late to work - his fault because he got them the job. The 2 most important people in his life are LEAVING in a few months, both very far away, and he had to control the time left so he doesn't add to their stressors. Darcy has a crap home life, but has always been outwardly engaged, happy, free. I can't predict where this will go, but thus far in the comic, the other character's development has been through the N&C lens, so I feel safe in thinking that they'll give each other something that'll carry them through these current crises.

So random but I just reread all of chapter 8 from the start and I think we're building up to Nick eventually seeing a therapist too (which would be a really interesting storyline that I THINK Alice may have mentioned in the past)
