Something about Nick holding Kitty - it shows the vulnerability that he's finding in himself. I feel like if Nick ever had his own stuffie like that, it was put aside early - under the influence of Stephane & David no doubt (and Queen Sarah in her infinite wisdom brought home Nellie to be a living stuffie that couldn't be made fun of). Now, Nick can hold Kitty with one arm & Charlie with the other, channeling his fears/protectiveness into Kitty while still letting Charlie have space to be himself. I wonder if Charlie will send a special friend to uni with Nick as a surrogate for him/Nellie.

Watching the countdown together 🥹 I think this is what I love most about Heartstopper. While it can and does give you those warm, fuzzy feelings, it shows you what queer relationships can be like as you support each other through the difficult bits (though life in general feels like the difficult bit tbh) rather than opting for unnecessary promiscuity and drama simply for entertainment value. You can tell that each page is intentional and I’m here for it always 🥹🫂
