Livestreaming? (Patreon)
Content
Hello Patreon gang!
I've been thinking a lot recently about how I can interact and engage with comic readers in healthy and enjoyable ways (more than just lurking and reading comments!). I want to be able to fully enjoy this final year of Heartstopper and have fun chatting about it with you all, without putting myself too 'out there' and instantly feeling overwhelmed. I love Heartstopper and you love Heartstopper and that's FUN and I want to enjoy it for as long as we have left!
It has come to my attention that you can now livestream on Patreon. (I don't know how long this has been a feature! Maybe it's been there for ages!) So I was wondering whether a monthly Patreon livestream might be something that interested you. Maybe 30mins-1hr once a month, where you can ask questions in the chat, and I will be answering questions and discussing Heartstopper topics live and you can see my face!
Heartstopper fans always ask the most interesting and complex questions about Heartstopper and I'd just love to find more ways to have those fun conversations with you (but in ways that don't make me instantly anxious!) and I think this could be a good option. Doing interviews and events is really fun and I get to chat to some lovely people, but I know that you guys usually have more in-depth, niche questions and topics that you'd love us to chat about. Many years ago I used to really enjoy doing livestreams on YouTube and Instagram, so I'd like to give it another go in a slightly more controlled and closed environment!
I think this would probably be for all Patreon tiers, meaning we wouldn't be able to discuss 'full comic tier' spoilers, but obviously we'd be able to discuss the events of the comic as of the current update on Tumblr/Tapas/Webtoon.
Let me know what you think of this idea, and if you have any other suggestions/ideas for the livestream format! If you like the sound of it, perhaps I could schedule the first one for September 1st, which will be the 9th anniversary of Heartstopper 🥹
Alice xxx
