Having been a teenage boy I remember sex drives being powerful, irrational and desperate. Since we know they CAN be turned on, I feel like they would have "experimented" by now and "all the way" or "next level" would be the goal posts, not "anything at all." I can't help but wonder if this is a "girls writing boys" trouble spot. Ugh, even writing that "out loud" makes me cringe; I know I'm replacing one stereotype with another. But Alice likes feedback, so I'm speaking my thought (which, again, I know doesn't make it true). Please don't throw rocks at me!

I think it's worth remembering that Charlie has been dealing with some very serious mental health issues for at least the past year, and it has now also become clear that he has some major body image issues as well. As we'll see more as we progress further into the chapter, these have been barriers to him wanting to explore his sexuality with Nick. Ultimately I know there are people who may not like how slowly Nick and Charlie have taken this aspect of their relationship, or may not think it's realistic, but fortunately there are lots of other comics out there about couples who move much more quickly!

I know Charlie and Nick are dating. But I just love that he thought of Charlie when he thought of the subject of sex. And I love Nicks way of thinking about it- taking one’s time and making sure it’s right and what both parties are wanting. And the added bonus of Love is obviously there for Nick and Charlie but ❤️🌸!!!!
