I'm kinda confused: what is the base theme of volume 5? Like v1 was Charlie falling for nick, number 2 was nick X Charlie keeping there relationship between themselves, 3 was a visit to Paris with a slight show of Charlie's ED & 4 was Charlie falling into his ED & having to climb back up. I don't know but I have seen the few mentions of sex in past comics & I wonder: is this when they go higher in the relationship? Because apparently we won't be getting more volumes after this is what is the overarching theme

i think i think it's about charlie becoming confident in his relationship with nick as he recovers from his ed and tries to work on his anxiety. he's nervous about intimacy because he doesn't feel confident in his body due to his ed, and he's nervous about nick leaving because nick is the person he feels like actually listens to him the most and he's nervous about losing him when he goes to uni. so this volume he needs to work on his control issues that he has from his ocd and ed and become more comfortable with changes in his relationship with nick.

Also, I think another overarching theme will be Nick discovering he wants to go away for uni and realizing he can do that, and still have a great relationship with Charlie, even if it isn't totally ideal. It's about growth in the relationship. Alice is handling this MASTERFULLY and to me, both of the main plot points are interconnected.

Oh!! Ok, I guess that makes a bit of sence. Although.....I hope Alice decides to continue the story( probably won't but I hope she does).
