I’m looking back on this (for the 100th time 😂) and realising again how important it is for his MH that Charlie had this amazing experience. What he said to Jane is so true - just because he’s struggled with his MH shouldn’t exclude him from experiencing things, in fact chasing happiness where he can find it is even more important. In this instance it was him requesting time with the boy he loves, who loves him back and has shown over and over that he can be trusted with Charlie. That should be encouraged, not restricted Jane! Obviously there needs to be balance but I hope she and Julio have discussed this and are able to talk properly to Charlie now about it 🤞

Totally agree with you, obv I can also understand Jane and her fears. She is a mother and being a good parent is not so easy, even more if your child has a MH. She will be always afraid of lose him, she will always be scared about what happened and because she will always think it could happen again. I think that talking to each other would be the only way to understand that those days are closed in the past, that Nick really loves him and he can help him a lot. But Alice always do a perfect job whit these things, she is amazing about talking about deep feelings, MH, love and every type of relationship, so I know that everything will be OK with them and they could have this conversation asap. This novel always shows that things can change, that life can be lived and love is so powerful.

Oh, this just made me think of the state Tori found Charlie in earlier this year, in this very same kitchen, after his argument with Nick and subsequent relapse? I really really hope Tori hasn't been too worried this time, but it would be totally understandable if she was after such a scary and traumatic experience. 😕
