I think it's fine if we don't hear Tori & Michael's conversation right away. It's getting too close to 4PM and it's time to find out what happened to Nick, Elle and Tara! Looks like we're shifting to Charlie's perspective, and hopefully his eyes will turn and maybe see someone else has arrived, maybe, perhaps, I hope?

Just like Nick needed to see Tara and Darcy’s joyful queerness, Tori needed to see Ace people can have Non-Ace partners who love them and want to be with them, regardless of physical intimacy.
