This week, Noah reviews a movie under protest. Because this movie is good. But we have fun with it anyway.

Was there supposed to be some audio other than the music ikn the first 37 seconds? Like the part where you do the teaser bit? Cause it's not there...

That sounded like my elementary school. The principal was the sixth grade teacher, her son was the gym and music teacher, and her alcoholic daughter was the drama teacher and bus driver. There were accidents, parent complaints, and she got fired before she died from alcohol poisoning. She is actually dead. And one of the classrooms is a hallway. If you sit by the window, your back is up against the radiator. PM me for the name of the school and address if you think I'm kidding. 37:04 tea came out my eyes. It really hurt but the pain was worth it.

I love this movie even more than End of Days. Can we get Stigmata next? Andrew on for Devil's Advocate? Ninth Gate? Blesd the Child?

I love the chance to really hear the intro music for once, guys, but you may want to fix it before the full release ☺️

Paul Freelend

If nothing else, Heath's vehemence in pointing out the difference between a trumpet and a cornet warmed the cockles of this drum and bugle corps alum's heart. Well done, sir.

What happened to the teaser at the start?

Are we sure that The Prophecy counts as a "Christian" movie? Sure it relies on Abrahamic mythology, but when I hear a movie is "Christian" I tend to think of a movie that is meant to evangelize for a particular faith.

Virginia Madsen, guys. Her name is Virginia Madsen, and she's awesome!

The Gray Hunter

I remember Elias Koteas. He's in that 1st live action Ninja Turtle movie I worked on (I was Raphael's "dresser"). "This movie is good"????? Are you kidding?

GodAwful

Oooh! Andrew for Devil's Advocate! I LOVE THAT IDEA.

GodAwful

We are not. There was much internal protest on this one; but ultimately Eli won because he's willing to threaten to do way worse stuff.

Note to self: Don't try to tack on "finish and convert the Patreon mp3" at the end of a 13 hour workday. The missing teaser is fixed now. Apologies for the error.

Bring us Glawd Aweful Movies!

I agree with Noah, I love this movie, it was one of my favourites of the 90s. The sequels are terrible and I'm going to love when they guys get to the ADRed sections in the subsequent movies - where they changed the plot part way through production /editing, and rather than re-film they just dub in new dialogue without bothering to even attempt to match it to the lip movements - its fantastic!

Every time I hear people reference this movie, I think of a 1970s revenge of nature movie called Prophecy, which featured a giant mutated bear who had its brain on the outside of its head. That one certainly isn't a Christian movie but it might be a good candidate for a patron-only review.

Oh yeah: ALL PRAISE SHAKARA-KIKI!

I can't believe how fast you guys skipped past the fact that, at age 12, Moriah Snyder, the child, was fully open-mouth kissed by Eric Stoltz, the full-grown, 34 year old man. How is that OK!? I know you mentioned it but HOLY FUCK! How did that conversation go on set? As we all know, this was just the done thing in the '70s but this was 1995! Can you imagine David Schwimmer doing that?!....

I have long thought of recommending this flick to you guys to riff. But I honestly thought it was too good for GAM. I was wrong: you did a fab job!

3/5 stars; needed more Satan, licking, and gay kissing. I would also accept if Elias Koteas did a little crying. (Tears are the best lube.)
