This week, we work off of notes that are almost entirely filled with variations on: "What?"

This 4 star review on amazon is fucking amazing!!! A VERY quick 69-minutes. It's more of a QUIT YOUR JOB IF IT SUCKS movie than a Christmas movie. The actors were ALL capable. There's a slide show with a very pretty Christmas song, director's commentary, previews, etcetera. I once had a VERY good paying job... with a boss I hated. She wanted me to come to work an hour earlier [before the first 180MPH BULLET-TRAIN] left my small German town for the 22-minute ride. Driving my car would've taken FOUR TIMES that long... when it wasn't snowing. I'll never forget our last words: SHE: "So, you cannot d-r-i-v-e to work every day, and get here before 07:00?" ME : "I could, but, WON'T." SHE: "You won't get a $20-an-hour GOVERNMENT job anywhere NEAR here!" ME : "I'll start working for $6-an-hour, tomorrow at the PX. Good-bye!" It took 13-years to get up to $15-an-hour... not VERY close to what I was making, but life is TOO short to be MISERABLE... and/or spend most of your day on-the-road, and at a job you don't enjoy anymore. I deducted one star because the [dialogue ]SOUND could have been a bit better.

I really could not follow what was going on in this...he wakes up and wanders into an office to talk to a DJ then...just kinda wanders around, has a few short conversations about nothing, gets lunch, and then a fight scene. Never has so little happening been so hard to follow.

So, the remark about Elizabeth Smart reminded me of something. She's still Mormon. Like, I get that Utah people typically are but you'd think after an experience like that, you'd be all like "God is DEAD!" Not only that, Smart served a mission. What?! It happened while I was living here and I thought that was the most stupid thing ever. What's her pitch? "Hey, I'm the person who got kidnapped in Salt Lake City. You should join my church because God is awesome. Sure, he didn't do shit to help me. He could've whispered where I was to the prophet of God who works there in Salt Lake and he could've just told the cops or something, not expecting a 70 year old to come running to my rescue. But God didn't because he's weird like that. Totes crazy." I'm surprised the Mormon church accepted. If I was in charge I'd be like "Lots of people can serve mission, the more the merrier. But her? No. We need to keep the fact that she's Mormon under wraps on a 'Bush did 9/11' level." I'd be surprised if she didn't find one person who, after hearing her story didn't go "I'm not sure what religion is true, but I know yours isn't!".
