Sorry this one is a little later than usual.  We had a great vacation, and then it came to pass...

Mormon movies are 2 hours long because mormons loooovvvveee long meetings.

Fel Martins

That's true. 3 hours of church on Sunday. Plus, if you had a calling there's another meeting right there, usually right after church. Firesides (which is just like Sunday School but you come back later that same Sunday to hear someone talk. ) Family Home Evening. Whatever activity the church had that week. Jesus, they kept us busy as fuck. Being Mormon is a full time job.

JCS

Yup. And I grew up with it BEFORE the fucking 3 hour block meetings. So I had 1 1/2 hours Sunday school in the morning, 2 hour sacrament meeting in the afternoon, then primary during the week. And all the other meetings you talked about. The standing joke then was you knew if someone was a mormon because they were always going to, at, or just leaving a meeting.

Nemoutopian

And then it came to pass... like one of Eli's stools.

Ann Ominous

When you guys mentioned the Mormons that censor the burping scene, that made me realize how we have people burping fetishes.

Marcus

Who’s the man with a burden...? I was sure someone was gonna say “Shaft?”...

Marcus

Just as a late aside/AMA: Do you say anything in the beeps, or nonsense, or just dox Heath repeatedly until you have the length you need?

Kurt Montandon

As an ancillary question, will there be a bonus episode for May?

GodAwful

Closely guarded secret, but mostly nonsense.

Marcus

Secret nonsense eh...

Hypatia

I think "Godzilla" won their "Mom's Choice" for a May bonus episode. I suppose the vacation means it will be out later in June?

Wesley Aaron

According to the May Poll we get two in June.

Hypatia

That make sense. Thanks! An extra-extra episode this month. :)

This movie might show at the movie theater I work for just outside St. Louis, and I need you all to know about it - Assassin 33AD is a movie about a Muslim billionaire sending a SWAT team back in time to kill Jesus. For real. also good episode

Chelsea Watts

True story: when this movie first came out, my family got free tickets to the premier in Salt Lake City. My sister and I (both ex-Mormon now) made fun of it the whole time. At the end they brought up the lights and announced that there would be a Q&A with members of the cast and we realized with horror that the lead actor of the film had been SITTING NEXT TO US THE WHOLE TIME.

Jeaneene

I love that so much!

Markus D

That sounds hilarious and also like the filmmakers didn't understand Muslims.
