Because it's leap year, we're not even getting this out on the last day of the month. For February's bonus, we asked you to pick from the Razzie nominees that we hadn't already reviewed, and holy hell did you choose correctly.

I’m watching some of this on a free movie channel so I can enjoy the episode. I remember watching the trailer for this and saying “oh so it’s just a paranoid racist fantasy”, but now I’m curious for how bad it gets - at least until I shut it off. Edit: the tunnels are clearly a reference back to the insane fucked up shit that happened in tunnels during the Vietnam War. Like “The Americans have no idea what’s going on, but when they find a tunnel entrance they throw a shitton of explosives into it and then send someone into it to murder anyone he finds because they clearly aren’t American” levels of insane.

Dylan Miller

Eli should have the first issue of Kyle rayner green lantern to know the origin of fridging

Markus Nävergård

Rambo First Blood is good movie about a damaged Vietnam Vet comming home and how he is treat and the corupt sherieff and Rambos SEVERE PTSD. Then they made sequals ans stripped away every pathos the first movie had, any vulrnability and made Rambo into a one man army super macho man that could take down Godzilla.

Steve Gosse

Heath made a very compelling argument to select this movie.

Troublemaker Jake

Fridging the girlfriend is the term. It comes from DC comics Green Lantern, where a villian literally killed Kyle Rayners GF and stuffed her in a fridge. It refers to the trope where women are often only included in a story to get killed/wounded/violated in order to motivate the male hero. Glaring examples Deadpool 2, Death Wish series, Paltrow in Seven, most Bond girls.

Total Absolutism

I'd exclude Se7en from that list, personally.

Tove

Saw this in theater for... reasons. I don't even like Stallone, yet I felt sorry for him by the end of this movie. Painful to watch.

Tabitha Kaiser

so glad to know there's a term for this, it's been hard to articulate why I won't play Detroit: Become Human

B. King

Thank you. I needed some good laughs

Markus D

I don't remember that being part of Detroit: Become Human, but there are a LOT of other reasons not to play it. It's a hacky mess.

Markus D

A bit surprised by the lack of "Home Stallone" pun! I think that the Renegade Cut guy made a good argument for all the Rambo movies, even "the good one" as being pretty right-winged-propaganda-esque overall: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgrv78IvGD4

Kurt Montandon

This wasn't even much of a bloodbath compared to the last (2008) Rambo movie, which was basically just Rambo standing in one spot behind a .50 M2HB and turning literally a couple hundred people into hamburger. Although that one was brainlessly entertaining.

Brett Kern

I think this is now my favorite bonus episode ever!

Justin Campbell

"The bottom of a dancer's foot!!" I'm dying!!!

Aaron Norell

hmmm.. "While it may have been shot in Bulgaria and the Canary Islands, Rambo: Last Blood is meant to take place in a nameless town in Arizona and a nameless city in Mexico. The characters, such as they exist, regularly pass between the two places"

Natalie L.

I feel like the villain in a 2020 Rambo movie would be antifa. So, The Reliant, essentially.

Denise Huston

Women in fridges is from Gail Simone. The original version refers to Major Force killing Green Lantern's girlfriend and stuffing her into his fridge for no reason other than to move the plot along.

Carlos Marchi

Just a side note: No one noticed that the guys seem to use "Latino" as a skin color... Mexicans aren't Latinos. And while I'm white like many people born in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, etc. We are all Latinos, since we are from latin America. At least use the term properly.

Jose vasquez jr

Marchi..shut up! Its comedy! You guys ROCK!

I had to come back to this post and say that this has become one of my all-time favorite GAM episodes. Noah trying to coach Sly is up there with one of the greatest doodly-doo's you guys have done. "Is everybody ok?" slays me every time
