So I understand that this is a strange out but I’m out to sea on this. Noah, I recall hearing you say you’ve read the N K Jennison series with The Fifth Season. Eli, I'm running a D&D module with my friends over Skype while all this shit is going on. I use miniatures-based combat, as I find it's more immersive and tactical for the players to see where their characters are in a given fight. Do you ever use minis for D&D, and why or why not?

I'm exactly halfway through the second book, and I'm not sure there IS a point, beyond the essential plot. And it feels a little too *woke*, cramming in present-day social issues where they make no sense.

Yeah, I've heard it's pretty great, but my players picked out and painted their own minis already. Besides, I'm old school (2nd edition) and I prefer paper character records and minis on a furnished mat. My players are all in their late 30s and are of the same mindset, so, game mat and minis it is!

do you think Christian fiction has gotten more propagandistic in the last few decades, or do you think it's just more noticeable these days because the culture as a whole is getting more secular? Like there's a lot of famous books and movies that have pro-christian messages in them but we don't think about it because Christianity was just viewed as the default at the time. Like if The Chronicles of Narnia was written today, rather than in the 1950s, would people be way more uncomfortable with all the pro-christian stuff in the stories?

Can I get your opinion? Is The movie "Contact" a God Awful Movie? It's definitely anti-atheist; it has shitty apologetics; the movie never says the word atheist, but the atheist protagonist is an asshole; she's forced to make a claim of faith at the end of the film; and it has an interesting variant of the cancer mom - the Heart Attack Dad. I'd enjoy hearing your thoughts on this. Thank you!

I have a namey related question: Noah, I'm assuming from little asides and comments made from time to time in the podcasts that you chose your name at some point. Is it the same for Heath? Am I reading too much into it? Heath Enwright - Heathen Right: To tell religion to go fuck itself in the correct manor. I can't see anything obvious in Eli's and I'm scared who'll knock on my door if I Google what a "Bosnick" is. I probably spend too much time thinking about this.

I actually enjoyed “God’s Army,” and have watched it three times. It’s honest (until the final 20 minutes), and the skeptical characters are given GREAT arguments to speak. No surprise: the screenwriter/director is now an EX-Mormon.

I don’t think he literally HATES Josh Gad; it’s a playful thing. They both auditioned to be Olaf the snowman in “Frozen” and Gad got it. They were both considered for the musical “Book of Mormon” too, I think, and Gad got it.
