Heath, I've only thought about it for 5 minutes, but I'm 100% on board with your baby credits plan! As someone who both plans to stay child-free and has cousins who are in a fucking child birth arms race with each other, I'd love to have population control and sell my credits to my family members for a bunch of money. They're based on a Jamaican candy recipe and are named after the 1935 song, "Let Me Be Your Sugar Baby." The song was later used in the Broadway musical "Sugar Babies," which was a tribute to the vaudeville era.

The exploding kids thing is from a short film PSA called "No Pressure" made by the 10:10 project (whose goal was to reduce individual carbon usage by at least 10% before 2014). There are a couple more segments with similar themes in the complete film. The idea behind its extreme approach was that the "no pressure" way of framing the necessity of action on climate change wasn't cutting it as humanity kept charging full speed towards irrevocable climate alteration, so they fantasized about a more direct way to demonstrate the consequences of inaction.
