FYI: The NEW PiaT Unofficial Fan Page on Facebook (Patreon)

The Unofficial Puzzle In A Thunderstorm fan group on Facebook got zuck’d earlier this week. They weren’t given a clear reason as to why. It's "under review" but assuming they can’t get it restored, some fans have created an alternative unofficial fan page called PiaT The Second Coming.

The questions made me feel uncomfortable. Chances are good I'm going to agree with anyone here about trans persons, but I deeply resent being asked for my thoughts on that or any matter simply to join a Facebook group. Asking to know what someone thinks about complex issues as a requirement strikes the wrong chord with me, as does setting a character limit, demonstrating that you don't actually want a full, thoughtful answer. I don't seem to have been approved, so I guess I didn't say the right thing. Whatever. A true friend of PIAT from the beginning, meanwhile a dissembler will simply dissemble and presumably get right in.

No it isn't. Of course they are. I have personal knowledge of and friendships with four trans persons, and, yep, they are people. That wasn't my point at all. It's asking for my opinions on a pass/fail basis that is striking a 'thought police' note in my opinion. It's obvious an applicant isn't a bot if they can name the presenters and agree to the rules. The other stuff is obviously someone's smug idea of clever. PIAT is way better than this.
