I love how Cara's demeanor towards Eli's sense of humor has evolved. The first time she was on, he kept kind of dumbfounding her with his blue humor, leaving her at a loss. But now, after multiple exposures to him, she's just winging it with the best of them, totally riffing off his lines and rolling with it. It's great xD

I think it's just a joke, though I'm not sure why a hammer was chosen. Because you can imagine a cartoonishly large one? A varmint rifle is probably the thing you kept seeing, which is just a general American slang name for a low-calibre rifle meant for killing wild "pest" animals like gophers and such.

Two points. Firstly I had a car stolen and burnt out about 25 years ago. The police found it and said it was on a public road, and if I did not move it within 24 hours, I would be fined for obstruction. Secondly, I’m loving having all three of the guys with Cara. Usually one is away. This is the best thing ever, including Dr Oz losing.
