I’ve been waiting for this collaboration! #EMT

Markus Nävergård

the Demon is Pazuzu, really a mesopotamian demon god of east wind and pestilence, but it was also a protector of pregnante women and children. You gave talismans of Pazuzu to those groups and it would protect them from harm. And Suddenly the exorcist becomes another type of movie. Where the demon defends and protects children from catholic priests

Danial Gibson

Let me get this straight. Four years after losing two of their best priests to a demon, the Vatican decides to finally investigate what happened. But only to one of them. And it's the one whose books they want to continue publishing. Truly selfless people.

Victor Field

Wait no mention of ENNIO MORRICONE doing the music?

V0ldek

When I googled "boycom" the results were 1. A broadband service provider 2. boyscom.de, a German forum for gay and bisexual 14yo+ boys Is Eli fucking with me? He's fucking with me, right?

Taru Tikkanen

Wow, did not expect that. Thanks for telling 🙂

J. Vizzle

If the listen to these episodes at 1/2 speed, they sound drunk AF!

Markus D

Uh....Is he not saying "boy cum"?

The Hey Eliott Podcast

He’s saying boy cum. Since Eli went on werewolf ambulance every guest has to sign a boy cum agreement.

B

Between this, "Nightwish", "Brainstorm", and "Dreamscape", the 80s sure thought watching other people's dreams was going to be a thing

Jo

If anyone is interested, Eli guests during eps 380 The Lock In.

Matt Eldritch

OK, that sounds like a pretty cool movie

Matt Eldritch

Has anyone here seen Exorcist 3? I heard mixed things about it and I remember an old Nostalgia Critic video saying it was underrated (before he revealed himself to be an abusive bastard).

Kurt Montandon

So is downloading the .mp3 just gone now?

V0ldek

I guess I just didn't want that to be true

Markus D

I find most exorcism movies to be boring, but one that's explicitly anti-church by having "demons" protecting children would be just the kind of twist on the concept that the subgenre needs.

Someday Sera

I watched it a few years ago, thought it was awesome. It feels like it's going for kind of a silence of the lambs vibe. More of a detective flick than a horror movie.

GodAwful

The link is still there for me when I log in a regular person? What podcast app are you using?

Lauren W

It's one of my favorite movies. George C Scott is good and Brad Dourif is amazing.

Markus Nävergård

yes, because demon comes fromt he greek Daimon, which was a type of spirit being between mortals and Gods and they where not evil really. just a class of super natrual creatures, like nymnphs

Kurt Montandon

Tried from two different browsers, no luck. Can't download to my laptop as an mp3.

Total Absolutism

Kurt; have you tried clicking the ... by the heart? The download link moved there for me.

Samuel D Brown

Honestly my favorite Brad Dourif movie.

Cave_Dweller

During the Ecumenical Ed portion, I was waiting for them to mention another bit of lazy writing. The "mud village" that they go to is just "Egypt" with the "E" moved to the end.

Keffeine Klish

If no one makes vector art of "Pazuber" I am doing it.

Keffeine Klish

I posted the images on the Facebook group page 😋

Someday Sera

ooh, that was a fun gam, I definitely wouldn't mind listening to another podcast review that nonsense, i'll look it up

Someday Sera

May I suggest Persona 5? Cause…it’s basically that, as a 100 hour rpg.

Dion Parchment

Flippin great episode guys…I also followed Werewolf Ambulance now…so…ya…ALSO….for…longer than I’d like to admit ….I thought at the end of each episode I thought you guys were saying “if you’d like to make a prayer episode donation….” Took me a bit to realize you were saying “per episode…” so…ya…guess that shows why it took me into my 30s to figure out god wasn’t a real thing….

Markus Nävergård

you guys need to watch the real life exorcist documentary made by the guy that made the original movie the exorcist. They are in Italy and it is is even more insane

The Godless Trucker & his trusty dog Loki

Just signed up for werewolf ambulance. I'll give them a listen, but when I scrolled I didn't see any horror movies. Just a bunch of action movies. Anyone know which one was Eli's?

Drunkarius

Has no one pointed out that this movie was directed by John Boorman, of Zardoz fame? Once you know that, so much about this movie makes sense. Well, a kind of sense. In context, anyway.

WelcomeToFalse

Why is Pazuzu explaining the plot? “I’m sorry, what? Exorcism? Ohh! Yep! That’s on me. Sorry, I heard ‘exposition’. My bad.”
