Noah bringing the pathos to being a sad, abandoned little pancake.

The mega church closest to me is also called “The Rock” so I view this movie as a documentary

Damion Damaske

I was in IB in high school as well. It, uh, sucked.

Not That Kate

The black and white bits are 100% because it is a screener. Source: I worked at a video store and also pirated a LOOOOOT of movies in the early 2000s

Happy 400. Looking forward to the next 400.

Hope Heath doesn't miss ep 420

Amanda McGuirt

I had my passport application appointment this morning 😆

I thought "Wait, didn't we do Second Chance already?" No, that was David A.R. White in Second Glance. My mistake.

Christopher Smith

Congratulations on 400. At age 63, and a therapist in the south, indulging in well done religion bashing is one of my most important vices.

Taru Tikkanen

Congratulations on 400 episodes!

Mark Smith

Very many happy fourhundreds

I'm just surprised that no one mentioned the 6 white Jesus pictures I counted in the "inner city" church 🙃

As far as goats - I spent time on a farm belonging to extended family as a kid. At this farm people show up, select their still living chickens or goat and then waited while it was butchered for them. In the PNW. Eating goat is simply not weird.

Annika Gunn

My brother's in-laws eat goat all the time. It's good! Not strange at all.

Okay, as someone who regularly confuses the names Dakota and Morgan, that Jason/Jordan bit was the best!

I'm sure The Pope's Exorcist will be a decently fun time, but...you HAVE to see Nefarious before it leaves theaters (if it's not gone already, that is). The trailers and synopsis say that it's about a psychiatrist evaluating a death row inmate who claims to be a demon, but about half an hour in, it turns out to be a Trojan horse Christian movie. Most of the film is the demon lecturing the psychiatrist on a bunch of right-wing talking points (which I feel like the filmmakers missed the irony of), it ends with a surprise right-wing Christian cameo (I won't spoil who it is here), AND it's from the director of God's Not Dead! And as a bonus, the theatrical run has a teaser trailer attached for a film about how they (y'know, "they") are coming to take your guns away. I'm begging you, PLEASE see this one while it's still out.

"Christians who aren't woke, but think they're woke." That's liberals, friends.

Markus D

The last bit about switching out "Plymouth Rock" with "the Rock of Ages" makes it sound like Jake is accidentally making the point that "Black people shouldn't be Christians because Christianity was forced on them by colonists".

Nashjillian

Didn't watched but looked up where it was filmed. The "inner city" church is one of the most charming old churches in the city.

Ness Bivins

Cara did say something like that but it was cut off by the editing

I haven't seen the movie myself but I've listened to this multiple times and every time I get to the part where Cara mentions that Ethan sounds like Mr. Garrison I can help but burst out laughing.

My wife worked at a refugee resettlement agency, and clients would gift her food sometimes to show appreciation. We had lamb a fair amount, and it was pretty much always delicious.
