Because it's been too long since we got to hang out with the Sorbos.

Joshua Talbert

Did I miss something the episode they reviewed the first one with kevin sorbo

Maddie

Are we not going to talk about how the other country holding out on this "monetary system" (Romania) is the only other one that has an offensive money-related stereotype (to Gyp someone)?

Do Not Read This Username

No. KSorbs decided to make the sequel to the Nic Cage one... with 0 returning cast members.

Diana

I’m embarrassed of being able to “Well, actually” this, but in the Left Behind book series, they make it very clear that you can only become a Christian up until you get the mark. After that you can lie on the ground screaming and crying to Jesus to save you from the plagues and he’ll just be like, “Sucks to be you!”

Justin Campbell

What the hell happened that led to Neal McDonough ending up in this film??

TenaciousB

About 15 years ago I attempted to read this series. I got through about 4 books and decided I didn't care what happened to humanity.

Jesse Ozog

I remember my first boss, who belong to a local Bible church, (I was working at Waldenbooks, yes I am old) always tried to get me to read the Left Behind books. She even gifted me the first one when I left the job. When I got hired I told them it was against my religion to work on Saturdays (it was not, which seems obviously to write out here) because I wanted to take advantage of the extra rights given to the religious in America. She never said it, nor, to be fair, was she ever openly cruel or bigoted (one of the better boss I have had, sadly) but I think she thought was Jewish.

Jesse Ozog

Also, I am real sad Patreon won't let me post the Kevin Sorbo "Disappointed!" gif

Markus Nävergård

sick as a dog while listening to this. i had to go back couple of times because i could not keep up. gonna have to relisten

Whitty

Anyone else have problems with the RSS feed? I haven't seen the episode arrive yet in my player.

Podkayne of Fourth Dimensional Mars

I was taking a sip of water at work when you got to the “truck nuts” part of making fun of Rayford Steele and I snort-choked. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Podkayne of Fourth Dimensional Mars

Yeah. I read a few. There was some entertaining dialogue in places (I can link to my book notes when I get home) but the naked homophobia and the straw man villain were just ridiculous.

Fluidkaos

This movie is so bad that even Christian fans of the series are bombing it on IMDB.

Nathaniel Arnold

So wait is this a sequel to the Nicholas Cage one? This is amazing. There truly is no box office performance bad enough that Christian cinema won't greenlight a sequel. Looking forward to Apocalypse 5 starring whoever's left from the 80s.

Jon Herrin

I call a Jew -- my dentist for almost 35 years -- all the time because I help him with his computer problems (a whole 'nuther story) and I can attest that Eli's phone call with a Jew demonstration was completely true and correct.

Not That Kate

Episode 403 was filmed in Calgary. And you say there’s no “great plan”. (403 was the area code for Calgary when I was a kid, for context)

Markus Nävergård

there is something so funny about kevin Sorbos free fall career

J. Vizzle

Kevin Sorbo is really, really, REALLY dumb.

Markus D

Yeah, that sounds about Yahweh.

Caldwell

Re: Heavenly Spectators I probably would've told you that people in heaven could see people in hell, if asked when I was Southern Baptist. The tldr is 1 - "Heaven" is perfect 2 - "Perfect" includes perfect knowledge 3 - "Perfect knowledge" includes knowledge of the goings-on in hell I thought of it more like a palantir (Saruman's orb from Lord of the Rings), tho. I could see if I wanted, or not if I didn't.

Proud mom of fur babies

I am disappointed to say I have read the whole series. It was back in high school when I still considered myself religious and was really into the rapture thinking this series was a prep guide. I try to forget that part of my life, I know better now. Oh you aren't missing much, Chloe gets her head cut off (via guillotine) buck dies (forget how) and they do a fake out death with rayford. Oh and rayford marries Amanda and she also dies by the end.

TenaciousB

I console myself with the fact that I got them at the library, so the authors didn't get any of my money 😂

Julie Wine&Reason

Mr. Bosnick, that ex-Catholic is me. Thank you!!!

Markus D

I know that Noah's saying "Bucker", but I can't stop hearing "Fucker Carlson", which is what I normally call him anyway.

Roy Thompson

I think the answer is Catholicism.

Roy Thompson

Does anyone know if there is an apologetic for why Satan and his minions would follow the Christian end-times script? I understand that Satan knows and can quote scripture, so if he and his team know the parts they are prophesied to play, can he refuse?

Andy Ward

You're seriously pro social credit score? You'd be ok with giving a De Santis government that kind of power, for example?

V0ldek

I thought that a 10-character password without any second-factor authentication to get full access to the WORLD CURRENCY was the high point. Boy was I in for a treat when 110 million lines of code was "suspicious" for a Facebook platform (that's pretty much *exactly* the order of magnitude you'd expect; for comparison all of Google's code is over 2 billion lines), AND THEN THE GUY READ IT LINE-BY-LINE BY HIMSELF AND UNDERSTOOD IT. I would *love* to get my hands on whoever thought that's how anything works and be like hey buddy, here's just a 10k line program. If you figure out what it does before sunset you get a million bucks. You can even call the renowned cybersecurity expert Mike Lindell to brainstorm on it.

Uriah Jackson

I used to think the Chun Li movie would be the low point of Neal McDonough's career. I was wrong.

Nick Power

As an ex-Catholic: "A-HAH! GOOD ONE MR BOSNICK!" indeed. The miracle of the herrings really cut the bottom out of my respect for my former church (I'm Australian, and this was BEFORE the whole Pell thing).

Caldwell

The apologetic I got (Southern Baptist, I unironically read the first few Left Behind books when they originally released) is that Satan doesn't believe the prophecies. Consider: Lucifer, the fallen angel, didn't agree with God when he was originally evicted from heaven. If he didn't agree with God at the beginning of time, why would he agree with God at the end? Satan is following his own playbook, which he's convinced will succeed. He's just wrong, because of the plucky adventurers led by K-Sorbs who is guided by the hand of God himself.

Roy Thompson

Caldwell, thanks for the response. I was sure they had to be responses. I can see how that explanation would work, but it seems to rely on Lucifer not recognizing Yahweh's powers. Or realizing that if they refuse to play along, it would make God's Word wrong.

Smurphette

How do you use the acronym OTM and not get One True Mark?

Paintmekala

Holy shit, the DVD thing explaining the repture was literally from an episode of American Dad and I am so glad to realize how much of a rip off this shit is
