How dare you dis Spuffy, Eli! Them’s fightin’ words

Meghan Baldwin

It's Heath ok?! I hope so, I've grown fond of the lad...

Another Craig

I was not expecting La Llorona to be in the episode!

Mark H

There was a hell of a flub in this movie, believe it or not. The newspaper article about the haunted house was actually just a photoshopped article about a Tampa civil partnership law that passed 3-0. The one time Floridians weren’t homophobic assholes!

Mark H

I think ball bat is just Floridian for baseball bat. I spent my formative years there, and thats what I call it too. Also ball cap. And soda.

Mark H

He definitely didn’t have penis reattachment surgery.

Curby Dickens

Buy me mozzarella sticks or double bacon potato skins and you get fuuullllllll access to my pants.

Anthony P.

You didn’t say “what’s Raycon?” One star.

Taru Tikkanen

Mary and Shelly are back! That's amazing.

Ukulele Phill

Okay so... what am I doing wrong with Patreon? Nothing will play for more than about 60 seconds without stopping. Anyone?

Denise Huston

I mean, I've heard it in Indiana too. And it makes a certain amount of sense, since we're American and that's The Sport With The Bat. Unless the neighbor is a big cricket fan.

Denise Huston

PARANORMAL HOME INSPECTORS YES. Give Brian his own show, I would watch every season.

Markus D

This is pretty irrelevant but I'm Canadian (Ontario) and you'll hear people say "ball cap" no problem but nobody says "ball bat", always "baseball bat". We will say "soda" though. Or "pop". It's insane to me that apparently in the Southern U.S. people will say "Coke" for everything!? That's a BRAND NAME of a COLA! You can't get more specific! But I digress.

Atomic Squirrel

Me, too. I think I’ve heard it in New York & New England, too.

Atomic Squirrel

Given Canadian approaches to temperature scales, this does not surprise me. I did live for a while in Alabama, and I was once asked to get an “orange coke.”

Mark H

Most people in my part of Florida were from NY/NJ, so that tracks

Paige Benjamin

Look I'm homoromantic but I will do kink things with guys so if you order the mozzarella sticks and then shove them up your butt I may be interested but you gotta commit.

Stella

There was actually an old Greek man at my family's church growing up whose birth name was Socrates! It's not completely unheard of I guess

Taylor Putnam

I just listened to the reconciler episode before listening to this one. The same actress is in both. COINCIDENCE? Impossible. Sorry, but your atheist podcast has converted me. God clearly lined up these events, for...reasons.

J. Vizzle

Sometimes I turn the playback speed to .5 so it sounds like the hosts are drunk AF.

J. Vizzle

Is Heath dead? You have to tell us!

Matthew Garcia

YES!!!1!11 when the episode started I immediately thought about that show. I would love if they spent a bonus episode just watching the series. “No that’s clearly a raccoon banging above your bed lady.”

Matthew Garcia

I beg all of you to watch Paranormal Home Inspectors. The show where a grown man accidentally pushed a lock button on his bathroom door and blamed a ghost.

Markus D

I haven't watched Paranormal Home Inspectors, but I watched Jenny Nicholson's video on it, which is amazing.

Daniel Mancini

Another movie podcast I listened to talked about “The Babadook” this week and I listened to this episode and that one back to back. Seems like the two movies are exactly the same.

Sidewinder

This was an awesome episode. I was dying laughing at the thought of Noah putting a ghost in a full-nelson.

Markus Nävergård

unwanted pressence, also the titel of my pro-abortion movie. Hot take, ghost movie but it is a lesbian ghost so the main character and corey could have had hot lesbian ghost sex

Jesse Ozog

Random time to make this comment and ask this question, but it never occurred me to until listen to SA last week that people write books about Atheism. I have read plenty of books for people who argue for religion; my approach has always been to read the arguments I disagree with to test my ideas, but now I'm curious, so what books do people recommend? I ordered Letter to a Christian Nation because Eli mentioned it.

AgnesBell

Wasn’t the lead actress in The Borrowed Christmas, too?!

Someday Sera

to answer eli's question, next week's episode is the fifth movie in the series, but the fourth was a prequel (and technically the 3rd is an unrelated movie with the franchise name tossed on it) so yeah, 4th-ish.

Someday Sera

which was a very long way of saying, yes, Believer is exorcist 4, but the fifth exorcist movie.

Denise Huston

The guy who owned a cat being like, "I hear thumping and running in the hallways at night," and I'm like, "are you new to the concept of cats? Every thump in my house is the cat, I promise. And all the unholy wailing at 3 a.m."
