This week, Christian movie makers try to get in on all that cool "Multiverse" stuff with a movie that might as well be called "Nothing Nowhere Not At All."

Religion *is* Politics

Because Christianity is based on the idea that an almighty creator can only make two different universes for eternity

Daniel Mancini

After Heath’s confusion in the intro, I think I figured out why it’s called “The Shift.” Like Eli and Noah say, it’s referring to shifting dimensions, but I also thought it would mean a “shift from work” or from a “job.” So my speculation is that the director realized that “shift” is the same as “job” which is spelled the same as Job and then thought he was the most brilliant man on the planet.

Half the Hilarious

This movie sounds like a direct rip-off of Job: A Comedy of Justice by Robert Heinlein, except I think God was an asshole in that book from memory.

Richard Drum

I thought the exact same thing. I wonder if the Heinlein estate can sue?

I'm so confused. Wasn't there a truck? Doesn't it take place in purgatory or something? Purgatory is a multiverse?? What??

Are they labeled His and Hers?

My first thought when I heard of the “hit by a truck because the writer didn’t know how to write in the rest of the movie after the setup”…was the cliche isekai genre anime.

In the original timeline, “Heath couldn’t be here this week”. Then he got shifted to a movie he didn’t see.

Tina in this movie was also in I'm Not Ashamed, in a bit part. Looks like she's really hit her stride.

Remember ladies, before shacking up with your small town guy and leaving your big city career and dreams behind, ask him where he was on January 6

oh man a Transphobic Ben shapiro movie. i hate that i want to hear the lads tear into it. Ben Shapiro looks like an AI image ofa Bond Villain. if i ever saw him on the street i´d punch him in the face. he has just a loathsome face and smirk.

This episode was amazing, but it was just brought to my attention that there's a new conservative Christmas 'comedy' called "Jingle Smells" that I hope gets a special episode.

Timothy Lehnerer

Donald Pleasence was in a Dracula movie and didn't want to get cut out of it, so he made sure he was eating something in every scene. Because of the continuity issues that would have been created by cutting some of his lines / shots but not all of them, he wound up being edit-proof. That *might* be what happened here, but Sean Astin was the most famous person in the cast and didn't have to worry about getting a single frame removed.

The idea that sAtAn verps another universe version of my ex-wife and ex-girlfriends explains everything. I am Christian again.

Markus Nävergård

i wanted the satan ruled world dimension to be full of free healthcare, no guns, no trans homo or xenophobia and no churches, no poverty and the education system is top notch.

This guy played one of the Galts in one of the Atlas Shruggeds

I know y'all tried to explain the plot of this film the best you could, but I listened half way through, then came back to it 3-4 hours later and had to restart the episode because of how lost I was

This Jewish listener loved that sedar joke
