Today’s page is a little different — and in a good way.

This installment of Evil Inc After Dark was written by one of the Kickstarter backers from EiAD: Middle Management, (available here) as part of a special backer reward. I handled the art, the pacing, and the final polish, but the core idea and dialogue came straight from a reader who knows these characters very well.

And honestly? That’s part of what makes this page fun.

You get a slightly different voice, a fresh angle on the situation, and a reminder that the Evil Inc universe is big enough to support more than just my brain at the controls.

Deep dive

One of the fun parts of this page is that it highlights some great storylines in the Evil Inc Archive. If you want to read more, here's a quick guide.

Mixtape — First seen in the EiAD story "Mixtape and Identity." [EiAD website | Patreon Collection]

Miss Match sleeps with Death Chill in Evil Inc eComic #54, which starts here on the Evil Inc website.

Seems like Mixtape would have known what powers were in that box; Cap seems pretty cazh in that last panel. Body swap, maybe, or something worse? Hmmm . . .

That box was in the Justice Ltd Weapons' Vault though. i can't remember what's inside a box that's in my own closet without going through it. It's clear Mixtape was there to get the Commander Heroic powers, which Cap snatched away at the last moment, but who knows what else Mixtape had?

A fair point; and you would know best, sir!

Caleb Davis

There was definitely some sort of power that was activated and is at play.

It was probably a bootleg Grateful Dead concert tape.
