Noticed that Wingman is the only one not looking at him. Deliberate?

coolraul07

Also, who's the dude wearing the "F"?

Bhushan Harripersad

Who wants to bet Justice Inc looses funding with Captain Heroic gone since he's the hero everyone's interested in.

Brad Guigar

That's Mister Fabulous. He's an old-school Evil Inc hero. This may be his first appearance in the "new" E.I., but he has appeared in EiAD at least once.

Brad Guigar

Maybe this is the Big Chance Mr. Invincible has been looking for to step out of Cap's shadow... :)

Michael

I'm thinking Amazon is looking peeved because she didn't get to get good thwart from Cap. And Cap's transgression was getting caught. Wingman had been giving a lot of the villainesses serious thwart so of course he doesn't want to toss a stone in this glass house.

Ben Burch

This could go several ways. But if I had a wager, it would be that MM finds herself in a similar bind, worsened by Thea’s jealousy.

DC

Yeah, Wingman is really studying the bottom of that coffee mug hard, isn't he?

Taylan

Meh, he is too good for them anyways.

Douglas Fugate

Ah. Did he really need to scream "you're fired!"? He's standing right there. It's not like he's anymore fired if you up the volume, especially if he really regrets the whole "I have to fire you thing, its in the regulations, etc." I mean, I've been fired before, and nobody ever screamed it at me (other than throwing my hat in the broiler that one time, and that was called for I guess.......)

Rene Gobeyn

not sure if Evil_Inc_afterdark is considered cannon, but isn't elasticman having a thing with lightning lady? Again, probably a getting-caught thing

Brad Guigar

You're right. Elastic Man and Lightning Lady have hooked up, and Wingman has been trysting with the Giggler. (Not to mention the very short-lived hook-up between Cap and Psy-Chick.) However — as you mention — none of them got caught. The only two who got caught were the two Silver-Agers from the beginning of the storyline. And we know what happened to them! (Or ***do*** we?)

One thing I'm curious about -- is Evil Inc. and its employees considered a 'legitimate' company, legally? It seems like Evil Inc. employees walk around in their uniforms without being overly harassed either by the police or by the Legion -- they only directly get involved when thwarting. I ask because I'm curious about the justification for Captain Heroic's termination. If it's specifically because he went out on a date with Miss Match (and obviously that's the real reason regardless), is it because she's a wanted criminal, or because she works for a rival corporation and that association could be seen as a conflict of interest (though generally that would need more than going out to dinner), or because she's a 'villain?' Mostly, I'm wondering what form the wrongful termination lawsuit will take. You understand. :)

Brad Guigar

In my own personal world-building, it works like this. Evil Inc is a legal entity, and it's an extremely powerful one. (Remember, in the reboot, we're only seeing a *branch* of Evil Inc. The corporation is much larger. So, they walk mostly unabated by law enforcement for a number of reasons (some may be bought off, and others realize that Evil Inc's legal team will spring any villains guilty of anything but the highest crimes). As result, EI villains only face law enforcement when law enforcement has no other choice but to address the problem.
