Here's another tying-up-loose ends strip. It serves as an introduction to some of the changes in store for the new Evil Inc.

Hmmmm. I may cry... Shall wait, though.

Brad Guigar

No tears. I think you're going to like what I have in store.

Taylan

My fears... they are becoming true O.o Pls don't go Spider-man OMD route O.o

Brad Guigar

Although I'd hope that no one stops reading Evil Inc as a result of these changes, I totally understand if some of you do. I've seen the result of creators who write their work trying to please people. It's rarely great work. I've got to write the comic that I would want to read and hope that my creative instincts are sharp. If that leaves you behind, then I'm genuinely happy for the time we had together.

Brad Guigar

Although I doubt I have to say this *here*, I'll be asking all of my readers to do me a favor. Read the comic that launches next before you make up your mind. I think it's some of my strongest work.

Personally ? I understand your reasons to relaunch. It is just bad timing , I guess , at least in my personal opinion after so many comics etc getting the whole relaunch treatment ( most recently with Marvel's whole relaunch stuff...). For a long time reader like me, it feels a bit like ''all that investment for the characters I knew...got reset. '' and makes it hard to feel reinvest in them after feeling the burnout from the relaunch. Now it is not as much of a deal as Marvel's but still considering this strip of how Miss Match and Cap's relationship ( which is one of the top reasons I read Evil Inc ) getting reset will probably cause less excitement for the future for me. Does that mean I am totally giving up ? No. Of course I will look into the future stuff you put out but it will always have that bitter feeling of ''this feels like an alternate universe'' and maybe it is :D I don't know, maybe I am in the minority but I value continuity a lot and when drastic changes like this happen there is a feeling inside me goes '' I can't go through it again knowing what it was in the past ''. It happened with CTRL+ALT+DEL web comic and the way it ended ( and thankfully Evil Inc was not THAT depressing O.o ) but it has the same effect of , yea these are the same characters but they are not. As I said though, it is a personal preference thing and you gotta do what you need to do for your comic. I can totally understand if you felt like you needed to change things, I may not like it but hey I bet there are others who will. I am not suddenly gonna start asking your head on a pike. I've just had a lot of bad experiences with relaunches and relationships getting destroyed for cheap flings but I know you won't do something like :D I guess horrible change decisions like Spiderman's One More Day storyline, left a big negative effect on me. But I know you are better than that to not go that level of awful :D
