One of the nice things about the soft reboot is that I get to address some flaws in the storytelling structure that developed as the comic strip rolled along. One of them was that I never presented a very clear view of the Evil Inc workplace. To that end, I've created a 3D master floorplan that I can use as reference for interior scenes. My hope is that this will give Evil Inc a greater sense of "place" — not to mention scene consistency.

Another improvement I hope to make is by placing all of my central characters into a shared workspace — moving from offices to cubicles. This helps to create more organic interactions, and it will support relationships that build among the people who work there.

So, when your Evil Inc people have computer or telephone problems or power outages, or even bio breaks for "potty" humor, where are those cabinets/closets and bathrooms ? I assume the "water cooler" is in the break room?

Brad Guigar

The bathrooms are down the hall, past the conference room, across from the break room entrance. That's about the point in the progress at which I became officially frustrated with my lack of knowledge of 3D software! :)

Of course it's an evil place to work, they have an open floor plan. Where's the teaming rooms? And is there a "Wellness Room" for expressing mothers (or naps). How about a concierge service for the "busy super villain." Come on Brad, you want to be the employer of choice don't you? ;)

Keep telling yourself they will like the open floor plan, but there is no privacy, germs spread quicker, and all you hear all day is some jerks laughing. I predict conflict. But that should be a good thing... 8D

I love the fact you put it in a business park too, so there not only stuck in a 'tiny' office space instead of the buisness tower building, but they gotta deal with people coming in for the other floors/getting the wrong building all the time. Plus they also proberbly have to deal with Dr. Haynus who's proberbly distraught at his lack of personal office and labs XD

Aaaand the fact that there's a Fairmount City branch implies that there are other branches as well... :)
