At first I wasn't sure how I wanted to present Undertow here, since I had already used images of this character for the "feral merfolk" monster stat block created for last summer's Patron-exclusive adventure, The Cold & Hungry Sea (password: dilightful). But while the feral merfolk were meant to be animalistic monsters, I've always seen Undertow specifically as an intelligent villain. The obvious answer was to make her the leader of the feral merfolk — and, as you'll read in the PDF, basically their creator. If you want to use feral merfolk in a game that has otherwise friendly merfolk, I think Undertow is a great way to explain them!

This character sheet includes:
