I re-edited some old Gelatinous Cutie photos today on a whim, because I've never been thrilled with the first set. Sometimes I find it useful to revisit old photos, both to implement what I've learned since originally editing them, and to consider how I'd wear & shoot this costume differently next time. This edit has:

  • A cooler color edit
  • Softer lighting
  • Some bonus hair, courtesy of Photoshop 😂

I included one of the original edits here so you can see the difference! More than anything, this taught me that if (when??) I wear this costume again, a wig + darker eye makeup is gonna be the move.

I like the new edit so much that it actually makes me want to reprise this costume! The question is... for what?

Oh, I do hope we get to see the return of the Cutie.

Ayy this is one of my favorite the costume of yours! The original video and song was my favorites as well. The edits look so good!

I'd love to see this character's interactions with some of your other characters, like Edith or Necrasha.

How about a video about the mostly boring life of a gelatinous cube. Waiting for decade to fall on an unwary adventurer. It has surprisingly poignant insights about the meaning of life and the inevitability of death. Just my two cents :P

Cosplanna

Oooh, I really like the cooler lighting!!

Ardent Slacker

"Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's photoshop." ^_^

What about a reaction piece to the D&D movie trailer?

Erin R

Ooohhh I love the cooler toned look!

Shallie Dragon

I just like the gelatinous cutie in general, and I'm happy to see you bring her out again.

Ramona Wanders

A Gelatinous Cutie reprise! How delightful. 😄

Cuppa Teafling

The lime green was really cool but I love the more aqua toned version as well! It looks a bit like the way jelly sometimes has a slightly misty quality to the colour.

Kalcheus

You should cosplay other D&D Movie characters!

Chris Truex

What about some more anthropomorphized monsters? Beholder, aboleth, tarasque. Gelatinous cube was a really fun idea, and a perfect execution, and there are lots of interesting ways you could interpret other monsters

Luka Murphy

Ginny's Pungeon Sing-Along (Featuring songs that allude to being see-through like 'Invisible Touch' and 'Not Pretty Enough')

Glenn Dallas

Maybe a video about interesting ways to use classic D&D creatures?

John Frazer

Agreed! Still waiting for the Gelatinous Cutie to visit Edith in her search for love.

Elizabeth King

I love the gelatinous cutie! As someone who doesn't work in video/phots, it's so cool to see how your editing changes the same photos! I loved seeing the side-by-side!

Cassie Banks

I love the new hairstyle with the dress and the way the darker eye shadow makes the wig color really pop. It looks a bit more menacing as gelatinous cubes tend to be. For what? There's got to be another music video in that costume somewhere. 😊
