Marvel has plenty of dark characters like Blade they made 3 of those movies, Ghost rider in Agents of Shield, Wolverine from X-men gets dark when he’s solo stories. I love this show happy your watching it & it’s funny Matt being a lawyer but then being daredevil contradicts that haha

This episode takes place after the first Avengers movie. They don't directly say it is, they just give little hints that it was.

I'm glad you enjoyed the episode! I liked your comparison to Batman. I had the same thought when I first watched this. It's darker than your MCU movies and Daredevil has the same stealthy approach to fighting and using nighttime to his advantage. Here are a few other things I wanted to mention. I enjoy seeing your reactions to Stranger Things with your sister. When you're discussing your thoughts on what's happening, you can bounce ideas off of each other and think of possible explanations the other hadn't thought of. It would be nice to see both of you react to more things together. It might also be a way of getting her into the world of superheroes. Now that you've watched the first episode, I can explain the connection to the MCU. As someone else mentioned, this takes place after the first Avengers movie. They actually made a few references to the Battle of New York in this episode. The villains mentioned profiting off of the destruction caused during the battle and everyone will usually refer to the Battle of New York as "The Incident". Yes, Matt seems to have enhanced hearing. As you pointed out, he is using sounds he hears during fights to guide him. He was also listening to Karen's heartbeat when he was asking her questions to tell if she was lying. I can't wait for you (and maybe your sister) to continue this journey!
