Here's the thing about Angela, even though she probably deserved something, eleven was wrong for doing it bc the last thing she wants is to have the police on her trail. that would alert the military and she'd be found, her friends and family would get in trouble for hiding her and ruin all of their lives. I remember that being my thought process from the first episode.

Luis Garcia

Yeah, the problem with the roller skate situation isn't whether or no Angela deserved it (because she did). The problem is the Eleven is now in the "real world". When she kills evil scientists experimenting on kids with superpowers, that is the type of stuff that is covered up and that people don't believe. However, with Angela, she physically attacked her in a very public place and that is the type of thing that has consequences. I don't know the specifics of the laws in the 1980's, but that would definitely face serious consequences. They can't just let high school students get away with assaulting someone, even if they deserve it. Kids fighting in school automatically puts them up for suspension in at least some areas. Attacking some with a blunt object that leaves them bleeding would probably get them expelled, at least at the school I went to. It also didn't help that she told the cops that she didn't know if she wanted to kill her. She is not completely used to the normal world, where you are punished for using violence. To be clear, I definitely think Angela deserved it, but unfortunately rules and laws don't always punish those who deserve it. Bullying is one of those things that students have an easier time getting away with. When things become physical is when it's easier for there to be consequences.
