Our first time watching Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005) and WOW!! This movie brings a totally different tone compared to the previous ones. So many new characters, new schools, and a very confusing (but super cool) tournament for us 😂

And then… Voldemort is officially BACK. His look is absolutely terrifying and nothing like what we expected, nothing like Tom Riddle at all. Like… what happened with him (his visual)??

And of course, Cedric’s death destroyed us. We did not see that coming, and we’re honestly scared to find out what’s coming next.

Enjoy the reaction! 💙

I think Hogwarts should have the dementors as security every year the schools in danger or someone dying lol. The actor in this who was Edward from Twilight was also Batman in the 2022 The Batman movie you watched ^^ its funny he went from Twilight to being Batman years later haha. This movie was soo crazy! Seeing em all grow up as the movies go is fun and in this one definately can tell puberty is hitting since we see Herminoe and Harry being interested in dating people. I'd say Ron in addition to puberty is jealous like they've kinda teased it last movie Ron and Heromine liking each other when they held hands, then in Chamber of Secrets Herminoe hugged Harry right away at the end but was awkward when it came to Ron she gave him a handshake. I think Ron being overly angry is from puberty and he's just never voiced his jealousy of Harry being famous. Like how would you feel if you've been friends with someone who never takes advantage of their fame to suddenly witness them be entered into the most famous wizard contest of all time and get even more fame for it ? Neville was really freaked out by the torture curse cause his parents were subjected to it, you'll find out more next movie. I have no words for anything else like Voldermort is officially back!! Him killing Cedric broke me even tho we didn't know him long just Voldermort killing a student I didn't see coming. The whole twist with the MadEye moody teacher was crazy , Voldermort is smart I'll give him that planting a spy in Hogwarts to stay close to Harry all year. There's always a new Dark arts teacher every year because Voldermort put a curse on that school rule that's why they change every year to someone else. That position has to be filled by someone new each time.

Hey Julie and Rachel, I notice since becoming a subscriber to your channel that you haven’t watched one of my favorite series…”Band Of Brothers”. I highly recommend you ladies put that show on your channel, I guarantee you will love it.

OMG, I didn't recognize him as Batman!! Yeah, I agree with you, and we didn't know about Neville's parents (very sad) and about Dark arts teacher every year, became quite obvious that something was wrong.

I'm working on catching up on your reactions, so someone might have already explained some of these things. There are different schools, but for different countries around the world. Beauxbatons (the school in blue) is located in France, and Durmstrang is located in north eastern Europe. In the books, they have both boys and girls, since those are the only three schools in Europe. The Imperius Curse (Imperio) is a mind control spell. Moody was using it to control the spider. He later uses it on Viktor Krum in the maze, which is why he attacks Fleur and Cedric, but not Harry. You can tell the age of the main trio based off of the book number. In the 1st book Harry is 11, he's 12 in the second, 13 in the third, 14 in the fourth, 15 in the fifth, 16 in the sixth. In the seventh book he is 17, which is split into the last two movies. The actors are slightly older because each of the movies takes a little bit more than a year to make. I don't think there's anything wrong with being confused. Sometimes the confusion comes from the fact that the books explain things better than the movies. But also remember that most of the books have a mystery element to them. When movies have a mystery, it's normal to be confused. Unless you solve the mystery, you might even be confused until the end of the story. In this movie, the mystery is 'Who put Harry's name in the Goblet of Fire', so you don't get answers about it until the end of the movie. I would just say that if you feel confused, don't get frustrated, because the movie will likely explain things for you. If not, we'll explain things in the comments! From what I remember, the hate for Harry mostly came from Hufflepuffs, who felt like he was try to steal the glory from their house (since Cedric is a Hufflepuff), and Slytherins, who already hate Gryffindors. Most students think that Harry found a way to get himself into the Triwizard Tournament, and are judging him for that. Ron is upset with Harry because he's jealous that Harry is in the tournament, something he wanted to do. Since Ron's older brothers are all cool and/or very talented, Ron wants something that helps him stand out. I like how you noticed Harry's sass in this one. In the books, Harry is very sassy and it's very entertaining. You don't get it as much in the movies, but there are moments where he is a bit sassy. I will wait a bit to explain why Voldemort looks unhuman, but there is actually a reason. Dumbledore did vouch for Snape, saying that Snape joined the good guys during the war, and people greatly respected Dumbledore at the time, so I think people take Dumbledore's word for it. Let me explain a bit about the night Harry's parents died. When Voldemort arrived at the Potter's house, he immediately kills James. When he gets to Harry's bedroom, he asks Lily to step aside, but she refuses. Lily's decision to die in order to protect Harry even though she could have stepped aside is what ultimately gives Harry that protection. Since she sacrificed herself to Voldemort for Harry, Harry is protected from Voldemort killing him. To break this, Voldemort uses Harry's blood when Peter Pettigrew brings him back to life. This whole thing is a bit complicated, and there are parts that I still can't explain, so if it's still confusing, don't worry.

I never realized how confusing the movie is when you didnt read the books. Most things are not properly explained or only subtle, which, once again, you only understand when you have read the books. And it doesnt make it better that it is the worst adaptation of the books.

Poor Cedric, killed by Harry's nobility in sharing the cup.
