We can’t believe the end is this close… 😭This movie was DARK, tense, emotional, and confusing in the best way.

So many questions, so many crazy theories, and losing more characters we love again??We’re scared for what’s coming next… 💔⚡

Love the Deathly Hallows! In both the book and the movie it is so cool to see them outside of Hogwarts navigating this war and trying to survive while finding the Horcruxes. But you are right, its very jarring not having Hogwarts at the center of the story. To answer your question (not a spoiler since it is something that is mentioned in the first half of the book and not explained in the part 1 movie properly), yes Harry's invisibility clock is a Deathly Hallow. They talk about it in the books how Harry's clock is always pristine, how it never seems to fade over time with its invisibility like other clocks despite it being very old, belonging to his father who got it from his father and so on. In the Sorcerer's Stone, Dumbledore is the one who passes it to Harry, saying to "use it well". The reason he doesn't tell Harry about it is not explained in the movies. Basically he didn't want Harry to be tempted by the Hallows to become "a master of death" thinking that that is the answer to fighting Voldemort. He wanted Harry to focus solely on destroying the Horcruxes. Excited for part 2 as lots of your questions will be answered there! Also I would love to see your reaction to Harry Potter 20th Anniversary Reunion as this documentary is the perfect way to end the series overall! It has been a growing trend for reactors to end their Harry Potter journey with the reunion since it brings closure to the series as a whole :)

Julie, you guys celebrate Christmas? If so I hope it was great and peaceful.

Julie Alfa

Yes, thank you, and I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!❤️❤️

Thanks for clarifying a few things, the Deathly Hallows are very interesting. And I'll also add Harry Potter 20th Anniversary Reunion to our watch list!

It’s really wild how much has happened to Hogwarts over the years & then to just have the school be taken over by Voldemort & his Death eaters basically is so sad. Harry & his friends being on the run the whole time was stressful & im glad they free’d Luna I didn’t want anyone else to die but omg we lost Dobby !? 😭saddest lost ever I swear if we lost Hagrid next im done lol. Loved these reactions their so fun keep up the great work.

A bit late, but here are some clarifications/extra details for this movie: You're right, the trace is connected to the underage magic law. From what I remember, the trace can detect the use of underage magic, like apparating (teleporting), and the Death Eaters were keeping track of the Dursley chimney, so they couldn't use floo powder either. That left them with having to fly to a safe house. Yes, Cornelius Fudge is no longer the Minister. After everyone found out Voldemort was back, Fudge became very unpopular for essentially covering it up. He is kind of forced to step down from public pressure and Rufus Scrimgeour takes his place as Minister. Fun fact, the Deluminator that Ron got from Dumbledore's will was actually in the first movie! In the very first scene of the movie, we see Dumbledore use it to turn off all of the street lights. Regulus stole the locket a long time ago, not long after Voldemort hid that horcrux. After hiding the locket, Voldemort wanted to test the strength of the potion stopping people from getting the horcrux (the one Dumbledore had to drink to get the horcrux). So he asked to borrow a house-elf and Regulus volunteered his house-elf. Voldemort took Kreacher to the cave and had him drink the potion. Satisfied with the results, Voldemort left Kreacher there to die. He didn't consider that a house-elf could teleport away from anywhere. Kreacher apparated back to Regulus, who was furious at how Voldemort had treated his house-elf. Once he figured out that what Voldemort had hidden was a horcrux, Regulus has Kreacher take him to the cave and replace the horcrux with a fake one. Regulus drank the potion that time and ordered Kreacher to leave him behind, take the locket, and destroy it. Regulus died in the cave and was dragged down by the Inferi (the zombies that came out of the water and attacked Harry).

Accidently sent before I finished typing. I'll post the rest in a different comment.

More clarifications/extra details for this movie: Harry destroyed Tom Riddle's diary with a basilisk fang, which has basilisk venom. Dumbledore didn't mention it to Harry, but Dumbledore uses the Sword of Gryffindor to destroy the ring. As for your question on how the snake became the old lady, we don't know the details. We can assume that either Bathilda Bagshot died of old age or was killed by Voldemort. Afterward, since Voldemort suspected Harry might want to visit the town his parents lived in, he set up the snake as Bathilda. How he managed to do that, we don't know. All we can say is that it's some kind of dark magic. Just a reminder, Voldemort split his soul into seven pieces, placing six of them into horcruxes. They've now destroyed the diary, the ring, and the locket, leaving three more to find and destroy. One last thing to note: don't forget Gellert Grindelwald. He's not very big in this, but he is very much connected to Dumbledore's past. He is the one who stole the Elder Wand, and eventually loses it to Dumbledore. I won't give you all the details to their backstory, but here is a quote from Dumbledore's chocolate frog card: "Considered by many the greatest wizard of modern times, Dumbledore is particularly famous for his defeat of the Dark wizard Grindelwald in 1945". For context, Harry starts his first year of Hogwarts in 1991. It is in his duel with Grindelwald in 1945 when Dumbledore gets the Elder Wand.
