WOW… honestly, we don’t even know where to begin.

How did we possibly live this long without ever watching this masterpiece?! This wasn’t just a movie, it was a life experience. An unforgettable adventure that completely pulled us in from start to finish.

The journey, the characters, the world… everything feels so rich and immersive. The cinematography and landscapes made us feel like we were right there in Middle-earth, walking alongside the Fellowship. Even with such a long runtime, we never felt the time passing, we loved every single second.

We instantly fell in love with Frodo (such a cutie 🥹) and the Hobbits, and Gandalf quickly became one of our favorites. The Elves, the Dwarves, the friendships, the bravery! The entire crew is just incredible. Every character feels important, and every moment feels meaningful.

During the reaction, we had so many questions, shared our first theories, and couldn’t stop reacting to how epic, emotional, and magical this story is. This truly feels like the beginning of something special… and we are SO excited to continue this journey and watch the next films with you all.

Thank you for being here and experiencing this iconic first watch with us. 💍🧙‍♂️

💛 Hope you enjoyed this reaction!

If you think this was a masterpiece just wait for the other 2 movies cause they are also a masterpiece. IMO this trilogy makes you think we are also in this journey with the characters it didn’t feel like movies for me aswell

Respect for the extended version. As great as these films are it always bugs me how dirty they did Sauron in the beginning. In the Books he fought the King of Men and the King of Elves and they all three killed each other in combat. Then a dude cut off his finger to claim the ring. But here they cut off a finger and it destroyed the dark Lord

In my opinion, The Lord of the Rings trilogy is the greatest cinematic experience ever put to screen (tied with the How to Train Your Dragon animated trilogy). The LOTR films represent the absolute pinnacle of cinema, not just within the fantasy genre but in filmmaking as a whole. Everything about them ware meticulously crafted. From the practical effects, the soundtrack, the action sequences, and the scenery - the director Peter Jackson (credits to the author Tolkien too) devised world a that is well grounded and a lived-in, elevating the experience into something truly magical and unforgettable.

Nick

Lotr is made with a mix of both Practical Effects and CGI. Can’t wait for your reaction to the other two movies!! Extended Editions only plz 🙏🙏 Btw, I was glad to hear you enjoyed the extended edition for this film and it didn’t feel long at all for you ladies. That’s one of the things I love most about the extended versions - they may be long in length, but they’re absolutely worth it for the full experience.

Written by John Ronald Reuel Tolkien Professor : During a brief skirmish at Balin's tomb Legolas turned back and aimed an arrow at his bow, but the target was very far away. He had already bent his bow, but his hand dropped, and the arrow fell to the ground. He shouted with a desperate cry. Two great Trolls appeared with huge stone slabs in their hands, brought as planks to help them cross the fire, but the Elf was not afraid of the Trolls. The mass of Orcs parted, and apparently in fear huddled on two sides. Something approached behind them. What it was could not be seen. It was like a great shadow. In the middle was a black figure, human-like but larger. With him and before him was power and terror. He came to the edge of the fire and the light faded as if a cloud had fallen on it, then slipped through the crack. The flames rose around him in greeting and surrounded him. Black smoke swirled in the air, his flaming cauldron caught fire and swam blazing behind him. In his right hand, a sword like a tongue of flame raised to stab. In his left hand, a whip of fire. The Fellowship escaped through the eastern door of the Mazarbul hall. Gandalf stayed behind to secure their escape with a door-closing spell, but something happened that he did not expect. On the other side of the door, a powerful force entered the hall. He suddenly realized Gandalf's presence and resisted the spell. The magic of the two sides clashing with each other shattered the door to pieces, Gandalf flew exhausted down the stairs, the hall and the corridor collapsed. Burying the already buried Balin, the orcs and the unknown creature whose identity and nature would later be revealed. The monster was not stopped by the falling debris, the Fellowship followed. They could even catch a glimpse of its form at the bridge of Khazad-Dum. Gimli immediately recognized Durin's loss, Legolas and Gandalf's true nature. Durin's Bane (Balrog) rushed towards them with the army of Orcs behind him. Although Boromir's horn stopped them for a moment, only Gandalf had the strength to face him. Therefore, he had to hold the bridge. The Balrog and Gandalf were straining against each other, on one side the Flame Demon with his whip, on the other Gandalf with his staff and sword Glandrim. The Balrog drew his flaming sword in response, Glandrim flashing white. The flaming sword exploded. Both the Balrog and Gandalf staggered. The Balrog leaped onto the bridge, and Gandalf, shouting, struck the bridge with his staff. The staff split in two with blinding white flames and the bridge collapsed under the Balrog's feet. Durin's Bane fell into the abyss with a terrible cry, but he still swung his firewhip after Gandalf. The magician tried desperately to hold on, but in vain, the whip wrapped around his knees, and in the blink of an eye he was swallowed up by darkness. Together they fell and fell into the bottomless abyss. Gandalf was already burned by the fire when they crashed into the icy deep water at the bottom of the abyss. The Balrog's fire went out, but its muddy body continued to torment and oppress Gandalf, who was slashing with his sword. Finally, the wounded Balrog started running through the dark tunnels. These lay deeper in the mountains than the deepest dungeons of the Dwarves. But the Balrog knew all the secret passages of Kazad-Dum very well. To the desperate Gandalf his enemy was the only way out. For eight days he ran close at his heels. Up the many, many thousands of spiral stairs. Until on the 23rd of January the chase ended in Durin's Tower on the summit of Ziragzigil. On the snow the Balrog burst into flame again and they fell in a cloud of smoke, steam, mist and melted ice. The battle of the mountain peak lasted for three days. A storm crowned the mountain and lightning and fire surrounded the combatants. Then Gandalf threw Durin's Wrath from the mountain peak. The Balrog fell from the dizzying height, crushing the mountainside to dust where it fell. But Gandalf was defeated too. His spirit left his body with the last ounce of strength, but not the borders of Middle-earth. The creator of all things, Elu Iluvatar, sent him back to complete his task. The Balrog did not receive such grace. With the death of his body, his spirit, weakened, returned to the void with Morgoth (where Sauron would also go when the ring was destroyed). Gwaihir, the Lord of Eagles, found Gandalf. The Lord of Eagles flew him to Lothlorien, where Galadriel dressed him in white and continued his mission to help resist Sauron. And with that, Gandalf and the Balrog's duel ended.
