Toph bending metal?! ARE YOU KIDDING?! She just proved (again) why she’s one of the most powerful and iconic characters ever 🔥

But ZUKO… man… we are HEARTBROKEN. We really believed in his redemption, we trusted him… and then he does THAT?! Even betraying Uncle Iroh?! 😭 we’re not okay!!

And Aang… WHAT JUST HAPPENED?! We are seriously worried. That ending left us shocked and needing the next episode RIGHT NOW!!

I do like Azula as a secondary antagonist tho like clearly her & Zuko’s dad ain’t a good person but it’s just interesting seeing how they’ve both turned out & trying to get his approval least Zuko more so than his sister , Azula is just doing whatever the dad asks . Iroh is the uncle we all need his is so sweet hated seeing Zuko betray him 😭 Toph is the best like she bended metal !? She invented a new thing this is great 😂

With Zuko it boils down to one simple thing: he wants his father to love him. It's something that he has constantly struggled with, and with Azula opening up a serious possibility to capture the Avatar, he had a lapse. I've seen someone compare it to being an alcoholic. A lot of alcoholics that go through rehabilitation need to be rehabilitated multiple times. All sorts of life events can lead them to lapse into drinking again. Zuko was given a strong temptation, and he wasn't able to resist the temptation of his father's love. What Zuko hasn't realized, is his father is incapable of loving him. Just a reminder, we learned in the first episode of season 2 that if the Avatar is killed in the Avatar state, the reincarnation cycle is broken and there will be no more Avatars. So it is definitely possible to be killed in the Avatar state. I think that, because Aang was having to unblock his chakra, there was a delay between him entering the Avatar state, and him being able to act. Azula was able to take advantage of that time and kill him with lightning. Outside of saving the Earth King because they are good people, he is also the one that needed to approve of the invasion plan. The plan requires an army to invade the Fire Nation.

Yesss, that’s exactly how we feel!! We really want to see more of the Fire Lord (Zuko’s dad), but something tells us we’re NOT gonna like him at all 😭 And YESSS Toph is the best!! The metal bending was INSANE!

Oh wow, that’s actually such an interesting point, we didn’t think about it that way at all! And the reminder about the Avatar State?? That makes that moment even more intense, we didn’t fully realize how serious it was. Thank you for explaining all of this, it honestly helps us understand the story so much better!!
