Watching Spider-Man (2002) with my sister for her FIRST time was such a fun experience 😭🕷️We had completely different reactions to some moments, and there’s even ONE character I really don’t like… but she actually liked?! I still can’t believe it 😂

That made everything even more entertaining, seeing the movie through her eyes, reacting to things so differently, and just laughing together the whole time.

This one was really special to me ❤️

Spiderman 2 is definitely the best movie of the trilogy but this is definitely one of the best Spiderman films. Seeing movies from a different perspective may give you some information that you didn’t catch the first time and revisiting it can also give you details that you may not catch it also

To begin with, the character is intentionally written to generate romantic tension and drama within the storyline. It's really not fair to Kirsten Dunst, who I believe did her best with the character as written, and who has to be saddled with a character that many viewers of the film find fault with. It must be challenging to portray a character in such a highly regarded film series that is nonetheless disliked by a significant portion of its fan base. I want to defend MJ within the storyline. She didn't notice Peter much in high school, and Peter always kept MJ at arm's length, either due to shyness or, after he gained his powers, fear that his enemies would strike those closest to him. There's nothing between them when she begins to date Harry. Peter's best friend knows he loves her, but she doesn't. In fact, their friendship doesn't start to blossom until she starts dating Harry. And as far as her relationship with Harry: how many young people have strong romantic relationships at that point in their lives? At that age, I developed romantic feelings for a different individual approximately every other month. And when she tells Peter she loves him, Peter rejects her. Spider-Man isn't Spider-Man unless he's dealing with some kind of personal crisis. In many ways, Spider-Man's greatest nemesis is himself.

Such a fun time! It'd be fun to see what Rachel thinks of other marvel stuff like Jessica Jones and Daredevil. There is a Daredevil movie and a Punisher movie btw ^^

I do like MJ I don’t get why half of the fandom hates her. MJ is 50/50 this is the perfect example , she hates her and her sister’s likes her 👍 I Hope on YouTube people will understand

I think she’s fine but even I can see she’s not written the best, she cheats on Harry, kisses Spiderman & starts liking Peter at the end of the movie for really no real reason only cause they had the convo in the hospital lol. I prefer how Gwen is written in the Amazing Spiderman movies like she’s an actual character & contributed to the plot more

I'm glad you're showing these to Rachel and I'm glad she enjoyed the movie! After the Tobey Maguire trilogy you should show her the Dark Knight Trilogy or Batman: The Animated Series so she can get a taste of DC's superheroes.

her cheating extends beyond this movie. in soiderman 3 she starts cheating on peter with harry. granted peter was kinda a dousche at the time in his black suit
