Watching Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl for the first time was SUCH a fun experience 😭🏴‍☠️

We didn’t know what to expect at all, and it completely surprised us… we LOVED it. The story, the action, the humor, everything just worked so well. It’s one of those adventures where there aren’t really “good guys,” and that made it even more interesting 👀

We especially loved Captain Jack Sparrow, Will, Elizabeth, and Barbossa, such incredible characters!!

I loved every minute of this great reaction! The Pirates franchise is one of my all time favorites. I first saw Curse of the Black Pearl with my family in 2003 as part of a drive-in theater double feature. I was blown away with how unexpectedly fantastic the film was.

Great job immediately figuring out that Elizabeth's blood wasn't going to work! Most reactors I've seen don't figure that out right away. Also, really good job noticing that when Will throws the axe to the pirate's back, that same pirate is the one he runs into again and is still alive. You're definitely the only reactors I've seen to have noticed that. The dishonesty of every character is definitely an important thing to notice. Not trusting any character will be useful going forward. To be clear about the curse, every person (or pet) that grabs a coin becomes cursed. Once cursed, every coin needs to be returned and every person who stole a coin needs to sacrifice some blood. So every pirate had already dropped blood into the chest, and they were only missing Bootstrap's blood. But since he was at the bottom of the ocean, they were going to use Will's blood. Before Jack tosses the coin he stole to Will, Jack also cuts himself so that the coin has his blood too. Once Will drops the coins with his blood too, the curse breaks for everyone. As for the after credits scene, the monkey grabs a coin out of the chest, which curses the monkey again. Since the monkey is the only one to have a grabbed a coin, the monkey is the only one that's cursed. To break the curse again, the coin would need to be returned, along with a drop of blood from the monkey. I hope you watch the next Pirates of the Caribbean movie soon! Dead Man's Chest!

You absolutely need to watch the second und third movie too, they form one great trilogy, especially the development of Will & Elisabeth, and the story arc of Jack is fantastic to watch. The fourth und fifth movie in the franchise are more like stand-alone films, and not as much loved by the fans.

We definitely will! The first one was already soooo good, we had so much fun watching it 😭 Now we’re even more excited to see the rest!!

We definitely didn’t expect to love it as much as we did! The movie was such a fun surprise from beginning to end.

you didnt recognize why elizabeth swan knew mr gibbs when she first escaped. mr gibbs, jacks 2nd in command, was actually working for the british navy in the first scene when elizabeth and will were children. he was the one talking about pirates. he quit and became a pirate sometime between the time jump
