First of all, Zuko and Sokka as a duo? We never expected that, but their dynamic was so much fun to watch. Seeing them work together was definitely one of the highlights of these episodes!

And can we talk about that ending?! Mai and Ty Lee betraying Azula?! WHAT THE ACTUAL WTF?! We were absolutely shocked. We never saw that coming, and the entire prison sequence had us on the edge of our seats.

Yes, Rachel nailed the points I was going to mention about Mai and Ty Lee's relationship with Azula. When Azula was recruiting Ty Lee, you could tell that Azula planned to make Ty Lee circus performances very dangerous as a way to force her to leave the circus. And Mai does seem to really care about Zuko and she does seem to have some fear of Azula. There is one time that stands out to me as an example of Mai's relationship with Azula. When Azula talks to Zuko about visiting Uncle Iroh in the prison, Zuko is with Mai. Azula first asks Zuko to speak with him alone and he refuses. Azula then says Ty Lee needed Mai's help with her hair. Mai does get up to leave, but gives her a side eye as she leaves. I take that as her knowing that Azula made that up to talk with Zuko alone. She does get up and leave, but I think it's because she doesn't want to be on Azula's bad side. She's not happy about it. So Azula's two best friends betrayed her and now she is going forward without them. Definitely keep an eye on the way Azula behaves going forward!

I still think Azula is a little overrated. 😅 I know she's incredibly strong, but I don't think she's that much stronger than everyone else. After Zuko met the dragons, I honestly started thinking he might actually be more powerful than her. I'm really curious to see how it all plays out!
