It’s not a teen show unless Bianca Lawson randomly shows up. Julie, I KNOW you recognized Emily from TVD! And speaking of her, fun fact: Bianca was actually originally cast as Cordelia but had to turn it down because of a scheduling conflict. I’ve never really cared for Buffy and Angel’s relationship either. It always felt rushed and forced to me, but when you look at the pacing, it makes sense. Season 1 was only 12 episodes, and they barely even shared screen time until episode 7. Apparently the WB thought David and Sarah had instant chemistry and wanted the creator to speed up this whole “love story,” which explains A LOT. On the other hand, I absolutely LOVE Spike and Drusilla. Their dynamic is so entertaining, and honestly, this was the episode where I felt myself really falling in love with the series.

Preaching to the Horse's Mouth

Back when we first met Spike and Dru there were a few very quick references to her having been very badly beaten up by a mob in Prague. That's why she's "sick" and needs healing. Obviously her mental state is a result of what Angel did to her. But the "mob in Prague" thing is very easy to miss, it's only confirmed by a few lines of dialogue that are easy to miss. Wonderful reactions as always, catch you in the next one 🫡

But Buffy died already once. It's about how can be second slayer.

Ohhh, I didn’t recognize her at all! 😂 Now I can’t believe I missed that! This episode was SO good!! Honestly, this season has been so good so far, and I’m really starting to understand why everyone loves this show so much! And Spike and Drusilla are definitely making things even more interesting!

Julie Alfa

Yeah, we totally forgot that she had died! It happened so quickly in the first season.

Maya St. Germain from Pretty Little Liars also and The Secret Life of the American Teenager.
