The Mishapps with Voice Overs (Patreon)

Today I wanted to share a rant about getting voice over for my animations. Over the years I've been hiring Professional Voice Actors for my silly tickle animations and clips. Some have been really awesome to work with and some just fly off the handle X3

Normally I look up some voice actors or put up an online ad seeking a voice actor for the tickle animation I'm woriking on. Once I get in contact with the voice actor I send them my script, almost always in SFW format (cuz a people don't like the spicy side of the industry I guess, lol), then they send me the Voice over, and if everything check out I throw it in the animation clip and call it done.

But sometimes, it can go south, manly if I mention it's for a NSFW piece (My bad, I know X3). So they either cancel my gig or they refuse to have their voiced used for such content. And that's where I have to start over and got to the next Voice Actor.

And this is where I've been lately. I've been tryna get some decent voice acting for my Bradley The Badger animation, but I just haven't had much luck with it. The first guy I hired did an amazing job and I relly loved his work, but when I asked for revisions he bailed on me. That bumbed me out for quite some time uwu

I've mustve have hired like 4 voice actors or so and spent over 100USD just on the voice over alone. By now you must be wondering "Why're you even bothering with that?, just upload the animation and put any randome giggling fx on it" and right you are to think that, but for some I really like having personalized dialogue for my animations. I want my characters to feel alive, to feel like them, not just any random character.

On the other hand, I feel like my animations are lost in an eternal limbo just sitting there waiting for the voice overs to be finished. And I feel bad because I KNOW it's my fault. I should just post them and get it over with X3

Maybe it's my ADD or maybe I'm just stubborn, I'm not really sure anymore. Anyway I just wanted to share how I've been feeling about this, and if you read this far I'm sorry for that XDI promise not to rant for so long.
