Anna's Encounter (Patreon)
Content
The grand chambers of Arendelle were bathed in the warm glow of the fireplace, its golden light flickering over the snow-kissed windows. It was Christmas Eve, and Anna had chosen to escape the noise of the palace’s festivities for something a little more… thrilling.
She stood before her mirror, adjusting the delicate straps of her outfit: a daring crimson lingerie set, trimmed with intricate white lace that hugged her curves perfectly. The deep neckline and high-cut design were a bold departure from her usual playful dresses, and a sheer red robe floated around her, brushing against her thighs as she moved. Her copper hair fell in loose waves over her shoulders, her freckles glowing softly in the firelight.
Anna turned, biting her lip as she studied her reflection. “Alright, Anna,” she murmured, a smile creeping across her lips. “You’re a queen. Queens can be adventurous. Queens can be—”
The soft creak of her door interrupted her thoughts. She froze for a moment, her heart racing, before turning to see who had entered. Standing in the doorway was a man she didn’t recognize immediately—a visitor from a neighboring kingdom, perhaps. He was tall, with tousled dark hair, piercing eyes, and a confident air that made her breath catch.
His gaze swept over the room before settling on her, and for a moment, he seemed just as startled as she was. “Forgive me,” he began, his voice smooth and rich. “I didn’t mean to intrude. I thought this was…” He trailed off, his eyes lingering just a moment too long on the crimson fabric she wore.
Anna tilted her head, the initial surprise giving way to curiosity. “And who might you be?” she asked, her voice steady, though the blush on her cheeks deepened under his gaze.
He stepped closer, his boots barely making a sound against the polished floor. “Edric,” he said, inclining his head. “A diplomat from Weslands. I arrived late for the festivities. I wasn’t expecting… this.”
Anna arched a brow, her lips curving into a teasing smile. “And what, exactly, is ‘this’?”
Edric’s smile was slow, deliberate. “The queen of Arendelle looking… enchanting.”
Anna laughed, her nervousness melting away. “Well, Edric, you’ve certainly found your way into the wrong room. But since you’re here…” She stepped forward, the sheer robe trailing behind her. “Maybe we should make the most of it.”
His gaze darkened, the firelight reflecting in his eyes. “And how do you suggest we do that, Your Majesty?”
Anna reached for a glass of spiced wine on the nearby table, offering it to him with a mischievous glint in her eyes. “Start with this,” she said, her fingers brushing his as he took the glass.
They sat together by the fire, the warmth of the flames casting a golden glow over their faces. Their conversation flowed easily, filled with playful banter and subtle tension that neither of them tried to ignore. Anna found herself leaning closer, the sheer fabric of her robe slipping off one shoulder.
“Tell me,” she said, her voice soft, “what’s a diplomat like you doing here on Christmas Eve?”
Edric’s smile turned enigmatic. “I could ask you the same, Your Majesty. But I’d rather not waste this moment with questions.”
The room seemed to hum with electricity as he reached for her hand, his touch warm against her cool skin. Anna met his gaze, her heart racing as she realized how intoxicatingly different this felt—exciting, forbidden, and utterly unlike anything she’d experienced before.
As the night deepened, the snow outside fell heavier, cloaking the world in white. Inside, the heat between them grew, their laughter and whispers filling the room. Anna let herself be swept up in the moment, embracing the thrill of the unknown and the allure of something entirely new.
When dawn broke over the snow-covered mountains, the fire in the hearth had died down, but the warmth in the room lingered. Anna stood at the window, her robe loosely tied, watching the sun rise over Arendelle.
Edric approached, his presence behind her grounding yet thrilling. “Thank you, Anna,” he said, his voice low. “For making this a Christmas I won’t forget.”
She turned to him, her smile soft but playful. “Let’s just say you’ve given me a few stories to keep me warm this winter.”
The snow continued to fall, but inside the palace, Anna felt a fire she hadn’t known she needed—a spark of something bold, something thrilling, and entirely unforgettable.
