Samsung Sam — often called “Samsung Girl” or “Sam” — is not an official Samsung AI assistant like Bixby.Instead, she comes from a marketing and design concept created by a Brazilian visual design studio called Lightfarm Studios in collaboration with Samsung’s marketing agency, Cheil.

✔️ She was never released as a real assistant.

Sam existed only as internal concept art showing what a modern, friendly virtual assistant could look like for Samsung.

✔️ She went viral accidentally.

Lightfarm posted the concept renders on their portfolio, showcasing Sam as:

Bright, upbeat, expressive

A stylish 3D “brand ambassador”

Someone who would hypothetically replace Bixby’s personality with a more human, approachable vibe

The internet discovered her within hours — and blew up the character into a full fandom.

✔️ Samsung took the images down.

Once Sam went viral, the original posts disappeared. Samsung clarified she was not official and never planned for release.

✔️ She became a community-created character.

Since then, Sam has lived on as a fan-driven persona, with her own interpretations, art styles, and even “personality traits” developed entirely by fans, not Samsung.
