The war was over. The gods were silent. And for the first time in years, Lightning had nowhere she needed to be.

She found the hidden falls by accident—one of those forgotten pockets of Cocoon that never made it onto any map. Crystal-clear water cascading into a private pool, surrounded by nothing but jungle and the soft roar of the falls. Perfect.

She left the armor behind.

In its place she wore soft lace and thin satin in colors that had never been allowed on a soldier: powder blue, deep teal, pure white, the occasional flash of black or wine red. Delicate straps. Tiny bows. Garters that framed the full curve of her ass every time she moved. The fabric clung to damp skin, transparent in places where the mist from the waterfall kissed her.

Lightning stretched out on the warm stone at the water’s edge, pink hair damp against her shoulders, blue eyes half-lidded as she watched the sunlight break through the spray. No mission. No orders. No one left to protect but herself.
